1. Tell us about your background and journey.
Hey, I'm Inchara, 20 years old pursuing my graduate degree (BBA) in Ramaiah College of Arts, Science and Commerce. My passion for food started as young as 12 years old when I started understanding the complexity and fusion of flavours in my food. This gave me an irresistible urge to learn to cook as well. I'm now a insatiable foodie and an amateur cook.
2. When did you first decide that you wanted to create content and how did you start?
It started around the age of 17 when I wanted people to celebrate and appreciate food as I do. I started by posting my favourite food from restaurants across Bangalore on my Instagram.
3. Are blogging and YouTube content creation a financially sustainable career?
After learning a great deal from YouTube towards my culinary aspiration, I think it's very much true that YouTube can be taken up as a career to earn a good living.
4. Who is your favourite created and why?
Chef Ranveer Brar has been an idol for over 7 years now. He's a great chef with an amazing outlook towards food and it's flavouring. He believes "authenticity of a recipe cannot remain constant and changes with each person who recreates that dish" and I agree.
5. How and where do you find inspiration to churn out content?
The inspiration to create content comes from my family and friends who constantly motivate me and provide their valuable feedback, for me to improve and improvise. I must also give credits to all those part-time and full-time bloggers like Pratheek Ponappa for amazing advice and great content.
6. What does your typical day look like?
My typical day would include food tasting in quite a few restaurants, analysing each and every fusion of flavours they've curated and to go back home and recreate those dishes myself with my own touch.
7. Which is your favourite book and why?
"Wise or otherwise" by Sudha Murthy for the simple reason that it gives an in-depth visual on different natures of humans under different circumstances. It has been a great read for me to understand people around me and to develop better interpersonal skills.
8. What piece of advice would you like to give to future and aspiring creators?
Never give up on what your soul craves only because others think it's not a feasible goal. You and only you should believe in your gut feeling. Keep at it, strive harder!
