Cyber Crime nowadays is one of the most heard and common cases. Every day, at least 100 computers are falling under the trap of Cyber Crime. Most of you might think that only stealing anyone’s private information and data is called Cyber Crime. However, it is more serious than it appears. 


Cyber Crimes are always playing around your IP addresses to gain access to a particular secured system. Without any doubt, Cyber Security also involves Computer Security. Nowadays, several renowned anti-virus companies are upgrading their platforms for reducing the number of Cyber Crimes. 


In today’s world, awareness with regards to Cyber Crime is well spread in an innovative way through social media, cyber security departments, and several educational technological IT industries. However, there are four types of Cyber crimes such as privacy, hacking, financial, and cyber-terrorism.


1. Financial Cyber Crime -

Certainly involves stealing money from the account of stakeholders. According to reports generated by the Cyber Security Department of India, every year crores of rupees are stolen from businessmen and the government.

2. Privacy Cyber Crime -

Involves stealing anyone's personal private data and information which the person does not intend to share with the outside world. Sometimes, Cyber Crime may also have serious consequences such as suicides of the victims.

3. Cyber Crime -

also involves a hacking technique in which their main aim is to completely immobilize and damage public or a private website.


In addition to this, today’s youth from India has a passion for pursuing a career in cyber security and cyber crime to stop the above-used malpractices, help the government, and the people of India. Nowadays every person has a mobile phone, a laptop, a PC, and a desktop. 


Securing these electrical appliances from cyber crime is one of the major concerns towards rapid development of technology. However, rapid growth in technological industries is broadening the areas of cyber crime. As the internet is getting available to everyone.


Malware, phishing, spyware, ransomware, and email frauds are all examples of cyber crime and cyber attacks. It is always recommended to not click on any unnecessary web pages and on any unnecessary link which may open your path towards cyber crime attacks.


According to the latest report, 54% of Malware and ransomware attacks happen in India. Next-generation and state-of-the-art cyber security technology is the only way to prevent the loss of personal information and data to reduce Cyber Crime.


Many renowned educational facilities and Universities in India have already included cyber crime as one of the areas of the subject to make students aware of information security in their early stages. 


Most importantly, the Government of India has also taken several stringent steps in order to reduce cyber security and Cyber Crime issues by amending the National Cyber Security policy in 2003.


In the year 2017, the Government of India established a Cyber Crime department equipped with highly qualified IT professionals in the field of cyber security. 


People should be aware of the fact that an increase in the usage of the internet worldwide, may invite such attacks if not taken care of prior. Cyber security and information security is one of the most needed necessities in today's world. 


In order to reduce Cyber Crimes, the first step should be taken by the user itself. It is always recommended to keep your systems and software updated from official websites in order to minimize the chances of Cyber Crime.
