“You gotta nourish to flourish” – a must do for your child- Cosmic Yoga

Mindfulness yoga, designed for kids for 3+ years of age, is used in schools and homes all over the world is what we called as cosmic yoga or frozen yoga.

Mindfulness here refers to paying full attention to anything. It means slowing down with intelligence, to notice what you are doing. Being mindful is, you are taking your time to understand and relax on a situation or topic. Children gain enormous benefits from yoga. Other than physical benefits like, strength, flexibility, and body awareness, yoga helps in making a strong concentration power and a sense of calmness.

At what age should a child start yoga?

According to Anne Kenan, a new york based yoga instructor for 3 to 6 year children, says, it’s better to start yoga as early as possible. Usually at 4+ years of age, kids are able to understand your instructions. Kids who practice meditation can strengthen their immune system and improve their sleep.

Like adults, children are inundated with information on daily basis, learning meditation from an early age can be extremely beneficial for kids.

Wooldridge says, “if we provide a blanket of support and teach students how to maintain a balance and find peace, there is no limit to what our students can achieve.”

Dr Bryan Bruno explains, “Meditation is one of the healthiest activities that a parent can do with their child.”
