1. Tell us about your background and journey.

I come from a film background. My parents are filmmakers so I have grown up on film sets. This also had led me to believe that I did not want to be a filmmaker because I would always be compared to my parents. As the years passed I started getting into film and its processes and got interested.

Then realized that by not pursuing my passion I was letting the perception of others get the best of me. So I made my first film when I was 16. I had written it when I was 15 and it turned out great. It not only garnered success but made me more confident with my choice of pursuing a career as a writer and director.

2. What led you to start your page on Instagram and what is it about?

My posts on Instagram are an extension of me. They don’t only represent my lifestyle or fashion sense but also how I see life at that point in time. I continue to make my page more about how I perceive the world.

When I started the page it was just a normal Instagram page like all my friends had but now it means more to me.

I also have another page called refresh by the youth. This page explores the youth around the world with all their problems and we see similarities and differences amongst us in Gen Z.

3. What does your typical day look like?

My typical day right now in quarantine is very different from what it used to be. But I have included more routine and structure to my life. My day includes a substantial amount of exercise along with a bit of writing and a bit of spending time with my parents. I also watch either a show or a movie every day.

4. How would you distinguish the term blogger from an influencer?

A blogger is not confined by the need to influence or to have an effect on people which is greater than just sharing their thoughts or telling a story. An influencer, their job is to influence their job is to promote products and for their audience to learn from them.

5. What do you think influences consumer behavior?

I think looking at anyone’s lifestyle looking at people who may be different from them, but a sort of different that someone wants in terms of fashion, in terms of living that influences someone where they want to become that person so to speak.

Consumer behavior is based on attraction and now has turned into wants over needs so a consumer can be made to feel that they want something and that will affect if they buy it or not obviously.

6. What is your idea of success or your mantra in life?

The success of my life will only be determined by the quality of it and my values to see its quality. And my values are that I should enjoy the work that I do and what I do should be my passion as well. Along with that, having people I trust and have fun with is just an added bonus. All of this is a success for me.

7. How can someone become a successful social media blogger?

Right or post or talk about something that you are really interested in and passionate about. If you are passionate your post will reflect that and make the reader or the audience passionate as well.

Your job is to draw an audience that understands and reciprocates those feelings for what you are feeling so if you are honest to yourself and or an original you will find your audience. It is very important for you not to compare yourself.

Because if you are comparing yourself in replicating someone else’s work you will never be unique and then why will someone want to read or see your stuff?
