My role was to be an Assistant discipline coordinator for my college, my responsibilities as assistant discipline coordinator includes maintaining discipline among the students during the events and college timings as well. As they say discipline is necessary for a well being life, I used to make sure all of the students under me were well behaved and disciplined enough.

Leadership role has an extra responsibility to stick by the norms of college in matters of controlling and organizing the events whereas normal student life is bit ease to go with the flow. At times during events you would be liking to behave normal like any other students who are watching and enjoying the events, but we are bounded to the responsibilities given to us. But I’m happy that I took up the responsibility.
3. What have been some of your biggest challenges and learning’s from what you do?
There would be at least 2 events per month depending upon the event the workload would be pretty challenging, right from controlling the crowd to arranging all the necessary logistics and technical part as well. Leadership comes with the baggage of responsibilities. The one who are courageous enough to take up any kind of responsibilities and would be sure that they would live up to it must definitely try upon talking Leadership Opportunities. It is necessary to spread awareness about the importance of leadership skills so that they come forward on their own interest.
Being a leader helps you to guide others and in that process we would get to learn many other new things like taking decisions in such a way that the work is successfully completed. One gets to learn Decision Making Skills, as they would be guiding people under them, and in long run it would definitely help them in their personal career growth.

7. What's your message to encourage students to do internships and attend conferences?
Students must first ascertain their goals to be precise, then relatively take up the internships and another course which is meant to be useful for them in long term. It is necessary that they take up the internship which they are interested in and would like to pursue it in future.
Basically, internship would be giving you a practical experience of what all they have studied. It is a great opportunity for them to implement it in their internship and also the most important and helpful thing is the Internships help one to be prepared to face the Corporate World.
