The presidential
election of USA is slated for November 2020, when people would choose one out
of two main presidential candidate and make him as new president of USA.
Though the primary
election, which is complicated and complex process, where the people have voted
for a party member know as delegate end the delegate pledges that he would vote
for their favorite candidate .and in the end all the delegates vote for presidential
candidate.
With all the
primary process done America has its presidential candidate. The highest voted
candidate from the democratic party is Joe bided .and Donald trump who got
majority of votes is from the republican party.
President Donald Trump and Joe Biden, his democratic
challenger, both promise sweeping progress and development over the next four
years of their term – via starkly different paths. Here I present a comparative study of both the
candidates on different areas and agendas.
Healthcare
The former vice
president Joe Biden does not support healthcare plans that “start from scratch
and get rid of private insurance.” His agenda for expanding even more access to
healthcare which will include providing a, premium tax credits for working families,
public option, and lowering the cost of medicines.
He also stated that
each American should have access to affordable and quality of healthcare so
that they have peace of mind.
On the other hand,
Donald trump’s plan to lower the cost of drugs prescribed has stalled. His
plans are mostly due promises and remains the same. A plan to replace the
affordable care act remains in void as his administration is still trying to
strike that down the law in court.
Racial and Social
Justice
Joe Biden supports rooting out racism. He prioritizes prosecuting hate crimes.Mr.
Biden claimed that racial justice is central to his overall policy vision
especially in areas of housing, infrastructure and support for small
businesses, while aiming to draw a sharp contrast with a president who has
regularly provoked racial tensions.
Stating the acts of,
Donald trump the whole world saw how he mismanaged the police brutality and
racial tension in the country. Trump carries a history of racist action,
speeches or charges on him. His hate speech for Mexican immigrant where he
called them rapist in 2016.
Trump’s controversial
statement has been faulted by many observers around the world. Racist and Islamophobic attitude have inflamed Trump's
political ascendance, and this have become more significant than economic
factors in determining the party loyalty to U.S. voters.
Foreign Policy in Respect to China
Trump has sought to challenged China over what
he says is a suite of economic abuses: intellectual property theft, currency
manipulation, export subsidies, and economic espionage.
He says radical action is required to protect
American workers and to reduce the United States’ large bilateral trade
deficit, and that the corona virus crisis demonstrates the need to hold China
accountable.
Joe Biden has framed
China’s rise as a major problem. He has extremist view and planned action, also
he criticized china for their abusive trade practices and its human rights
record.
He stated that he
would mount a more effective push back against China than Trump and work more
closely with allies to pressure Beijing to take needful steps.
Climate and
Energy
Trump has always questioned the
science behind climate change, expressing doubts about whether to blame human
activity for it. He has advocated for expanded domestic fossil fuel production
and has sought to increase his rollback of environmental regulations
implemented by his predecessors.
Biden stated that the climate change faced by us is that greatest threat
to our security and we need to stand together in this revolution and address
it, he also released a national plan to control emission and invest in
technology and infrastructure for the same.
As a presidential candidate, he expressed his concerned over greenhouse
gases, but also supported controversial energy sources such as fracking and
so-called clean coal in the country.
Conclusion
The fallout from the
pandemic has made the 2020 election cycle one of the least traditional and new
normal in modern history, placing an outsize importance on digital advertising.
With the absence of a
traditional campaign structure, President Trump and presumptive Democratic candidate Joe Biden face a challenge of a digital advertising
war instead of a basic strategy.
Finally , with digital
advertising taking on considerable importance in politics this year, the 2020
election will be a barrier on whether voters believe the Biden campaign
narrative that Donald Trump failed as president against the pandemic management
and the country is now worse off.
Or whether they believe
the Trump campaign narrative that the president mitigated the corona virus and
his leadership is starting a great comeback in the economy.
