Don't Lose Hope, Just Keep Giving Your Best - Saba Ibrahim (YouTuber/Blogger)

Saba Ibrahim

I always made it a point to go out of way to make my Vlog interesting so that its a treat for the people who are watching.

1. Tell us about your background and journey.

I was Born and bought up in Bhopal.
I was always an intovert, a girl totally into her shell. Even in college I never had a “friend circle” I never even tried to break my shell because i was very low on self confidence.

One of the major reasons was my over weight , and then my fear, to face the world and to make my own place in the world. Also being the youngest in the house i was always pamperred & never had I even stepped out for any work, Until my brother came to mumbai & every responsibility was handed over to me by him.

I still remember he had told me,
“Shalu mai nahi hun to tumhe sab dhyaan rakhna hai”.(I am not here, so you have to look after things)

I started handling things gradually and then everything changed when we came to Mumbai to stay with my brother. I came here learnt the lifestyle and started taking efforts to change myself and become stronger. That was the begining of getting this Saba out of her shell.

2. When did you first decide that you wanted to create content and how did you start?

My first professional experience was as a assistant costume stylist in a daily soap, because without experience I would get only this job but in a short period of time i understood this was not my cup of tea.

The long travelling, long work hours, the work pressure was just not what I had ever experienced.

I started falling ill and thats when I decided I need to leave this job.
Then came my love for social media.

Just browsing and learning and slowly I understood that this is what i want to do! I started working on myself, grooming myself, watching & trying to understand how other blogger/vloggers work, and slowly I started making my way.

I had emmense support from my family, who were not only happy to see me grow & doing something by myself but also guided me to give my best and then I worked hard, really hard to reach where I am today.

I always made it a point to go out of way to make my Vlog interesting so that its a treat for the people who are watching.

3. Is vlogging and YouTube content creation a financially sustainable career?

There is nothing permanent or stable nowadays but yes I still feel Youtube is assurable career only provided you give a lot of your time & energy.

4. Who is your favorite creator and why?

My favourite creator is Prajakta koli (Mostly sane) because her content is entertaining and relatable.

5. How and where do you find inspiration to churn out content?

When i decided to make vlogs i wanted to show my real world (saba ka jahaan) to everybody and slowly with the viewers feedback I realised people are loving us for the positivity we have and the simplicity that we live our lives with.

So always my aim is to remain simple and give people the happiness & positivity that they come looking for in our vlogs.

6.What does your typical day look like?

Actually a juggle between my Instagram collabration & Youtube vlogs but nothing to complain. I'm very happy & grateful to experience this life. Both are responsible jobs & I try to give my best always

7. Which is your favorite book and why?

I don't read much. I feel sleepy while reading.

8. What piece of advice would you like to give to future and aspiring creators?

Be yourself. Dont see what is a reason for success for someone else & follow it blindly. Maybe its just not you or your flavour and turns out to be totally fake and nowadays people and public are smart.

They know and understand everything. Search for your strength and uniqueness and make videos. Lastly, Dont lose hope just keep giving your best!
