Sawan Tank - As Sui Dhagga Happened to Be My First Film and on Top of That Being a Yashraj Film (Actor)

Since my childhood, I was very passionate about watching films. And I had this habit of always thinking that if I was an actor how would have I done this scene or a particular dance move

1.Tell us more about your background and journey.

I was born and bought up in Delhi, that's where I come from. I basically come from a government-employed family and that is what was expected of me too by my family.

And as I was prepping for my SSC (Staff selection commission) somehow happened to read an article about FTII and that caught my eye. And instead of my exam, I ended up going to FTll.

2. How and when you decided to be an Actor?

Since my childhood, I was very passionate about watching films. And I had this habit of always thinking that if I was an actor how would have I done this scene or a particular dance move. Just like my favourites Shahrukh Khan and Irfan Khan. I guess that's how my journey started in understanding about this art.

3. Please tell us about your filmy experience in movies like "Sui Dhaaga" and "Ram Prasan ki Tehrvi"

As Sui Dhagga happened to be my first film..and on top of that being a Yashraj film. It was quite a surreal experience for me. But once I started shooting for it..I ended up having a great bond with the entire team and had a great time.

With Ramprasad ki tehri was more like getting admission in another institute, as you are learning so much from every individual and just by being on the set you know for sure you are taking something back with you. And as I worked in theatre with Seema Ma'am there was a level of comfort while shooting.

I have always considered Seema Ma'am as my mentor so being a part of her first film was like a dream come true.

4. How is your experience in the series "Cookiees"?

Cookies was a team of youngsters trying to create something fun and good. So it was a great experience to be around that energy.

With this kind of energy didn't even realise when the last day of the shoot was already there.

5. If not this, what would you be doing?

I always wanted to get into defence. As that is what I saw in my family, also my friends were aiming for the same so for a long time wanted to do that.

6. Which is your favourite book and why?

Forty rules of love by Elif Shafak. Because I have learned a lot from this book, about how love and friendship can really transform your soul for understanding the purpose of life. As that is the most important thing in life.
