Sherif - Dance Is Just Not An Entertainment But It Is Much More Than That (Choreographer)

 

You need to fit dance form in three different things , first as performer where you can be an artistic performer or commercial performer or anything. But when it comes to future you need to give right knowledge to the next generation of dancers so that is where the other two categories come into play which is the teacher and the  third one is Choreographer.

1. Tell us about your background and journey.

I am from Coimbatore and  I did my graduation in BBA and after that I just started my career in choreography  only because of one dance competition in which I participated and from there I journey in Choreography began.

 2. Who is your favorite dancer and why?

Definitely I  Like the two evergreen artists, one is Michael Jackson and one is  Prabhu deva and a lot of dancer’s like Hrithik Roshan and Tiger shroff. I like a lot of people , right now it is totally different as a lot of new people are joining dance field and doing really well.

3. Can you throw some light on opportunities one gets as a dancer?

Now a day’s it  is not that tough to get opportunity as it is open every where but before that you need to go to a channel and prove yourself and your skills but now with social media you can reach to millions of people. And hard work and practice is very important.

4. What has been your greatest achievement in dancing?

I don't think that I have achieved that much and I'm still working for it.

5. What are the challenges you face while choreographing and how do you overcome it?

Basically we have to work with different themes. Choreography doesn’t come with a particular theme of template, it changes with the situation given to you. It is not a job that we do from day to day it is dynamic. 

You don’t have to get disappointed when you don’t get the desired output instead you need to work hard and try to achieve the best. Learning is very important

6. What piece of advice would you like to give to future and aspiring artists?

When it comes to choreography you have a responsibility to give the right knowledge to the next generation , dance is just not the entertainment but it is much more than that.
