I started my food blog @poojascookery which was really a big asset to me, as I started getting busy in cooking and blogging. Later started my food YouTube channel too - @poojascookery.
For me its a passion but if you really want to make it a career you can. I mean there are lot of options available nowadays.
I was born and brought up in Goa. Was working in Engineering college in Goa. Got married to a supportive man and after a year or so, from two we became three. We had to move to Maharashtra in 2008, leaving my pretty Goa behind, due to job shifting of my husband.
I had to search for a new job here. Of course, I eventually got it, not an issue. Later due to my husband's project we moved to California (USA) . There I was going crazy as I was jobless. So started my food blog @poojascookery which was really a big asset to me, as I started getting busy in cooking and blogging. Later started my food YouTube channel too. @poojascookery
We moved back to Thane (Maharashtra) as my husband's project got over and here I am still blogging and Vlogging on food.
2. Which is your favourite cuisine and dish?
My favourite cuisine is Goan cuisine of course. Can't name just one dish. There are plenty. But if you just want one name then its Reshad Bangdo (Stuffed Mackerel) obviously.
3. Should food blogging be just a passion or can it become a regular career?
For me its a passion but if you really want to make it a career you can. I mean there are lot of options available nowadays. You can earn from monetization, by doing restaurant reviews or you can do paid posts too.
4. Which restaurants/food joints would you recommend to food lovers?
We explore hell lot of restaurants so difficult to name one or two. But my all time favourite is Yellow Chilli restaurant. We have tried it here in Thane.
5. What makes you appreciate a particular dish or a restaurant and talk about it on your blog?
I never did restaurant reviews on my blog yet but thinking of doing few in future.
6. Is there a dish you particularly associate yourself with?
I am a cat you can say. Can't live without fish. So, you know, you can associate me with any fish dish.
7. Which is your favourite book and why?
Haha . Not a reader anymore. Used to read a lot during my childhood. Nowadays just prefer watching videos and learning rather then reading. I know its a bad habit but cant help. Digital age. But thanks for reminding me, I will try to make it a habit to read at least something everyday.
