I started writing in the year 2015 when I lost my wife due to some deadly disease. I wanted to keep the memory alive. My first book is actually my diary where I recalled all my memories in a piece of paper like how I met her, how we travelled the journey of love and how we grown up together. So that is my first book and eventually it made me an author.
1. Tell us about your background and journey.
I was grown up in the modest NTPC township of Rihand Nagar (Uttar Pradesh, India) with big dreams. I studied engineering in Electronics at IERT(Allahabad) and MBA at IIMM (Pune) before taking up a job in corporate firm.
I grew up with a dream of becoming a teacher but destiny landed me in the IT field. Travelling, Trekking and Reading novels are my hobbies. Travelling to different places has taught me about different cultures, people and it makes me wonder how despite all the differences, there is a bond that unites us all.
Trekking always inspired me to deal with challenges like a sport. Reading is perhaps what makes me feel alive. Till now I have written 6 books, ‘You are the Best Wife’, ‘Her Last Wish’, ‘You are the Best Friend’, ‘A Girl to Remember’, ‘An Unexpected Gift’ and ‘Everything I Never Told You’.
I have written 6 books and this is the question that should be answered by my readers. So how I became best-selling author, I myself doesn’t know that. I have written those books; I think people like them and there is word of mouth and that they worked in my favor and they have wonderful reviews that’s all.
Actually, this inter religion love story is not a typical Hindu-Muslim kind of love story. Off course the male protagonist is Hindu and female protagonist is Muslim, there is a love element and there is a struggle to get married. But the treatment of these conflicts is totally different.
My favorite book is ‘An Unexpected Gift’, this is my 5th book. It’s story of a transgender person who wanted to become a mother. Since transgender cannot conceive biologically so how she will become a mother, its all related to that story and it has a beautiful climax.
