Bhuvani Dharan - Travel Vlogging Is Meant Not Only For Boys, It Works Out For Girls Too (Travel Vlogger)

Bhuvani Dharan

Travel more, experience more and enjoy your life as the world is large and filled with many beautiful things. I would also like to tell that Travel vlogging is meant not only for boys, it works out for girls too. In Tamil Nadu, there are not much girls who experience this but in North India there are many girls who travel more than boys.

1. Tell us about your background and journey

I am Bhuvani Dharan. I have a family of 2 members. My mother and myself. I am a 25 year old guy who like to travel and explore places. My journey of becoming a Travel vlogger started wholly because of my passion.

My channel name is tamil trekker. I started by doing this part time but after few months I started to earn so I decided to pursue this as my career. It has been since one year I have started and it is still going on.

2. What are the challenges you face and how do you overcome it?

Frankly speaking each and every day is a challenge for all Travel vloggers. I haven't felt any bad experience so far. The only main thing is, finding shelter is quite a difficult one but apart from that it would be very nice meeting new people and creating a good bond with them.

3. How has your experience been so far?

My experience has been good so far. I like most of the places I visit but among every thing my favorite one is Meghalaya because it's culture and surrounding admired me a lot. It's my wish to go there again and explore more.

I would like to share one experience which is quite a different one for me. When I was in my travel in a highway where the surroundings were fully dark and there were hardly 10 bikes passing for every 2 hours.

One anonymous person offered me to stay in a place near mattukottai which was very dark and also I got to hear the sound of bikes and many such noises which actually made my night quite horrific.

Along with this, I stayed in a hotel which is quite a desserted area. I uploaded the stay in hotel in my channel where my subscribers mentioned that the hotel was the place in which the thriller film 'Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru' was directed and that gave me little goosebumps and made my stay quite thrilling.

These are the incidents which I would never get even if I pay money for it. It was very nice!

4. Has Hitchhiking worked out every time for you?

Hitchhiking is quite a very useful tool for many travel vloggers. But of course, I have waited for a long time to get the help of the people but that was also an experience for me. My mentality is that if I don't get today it would be possible for me to get it tomorrow.

When I was in Thailand, the weather was very hot and there weren't any signs of people travelling on the road due to lock down. I wasn't able to bear the weather and I thought of going by bus. Then fortunately, I found one person and he helped me to reach the bus stop and from there I resumed my journey to Bangkok.

5. Is Travel vlogging financially a sustainable career?

Mostly the answer is no. The reason why I am able to do this is fully based on my passion and budget. I always have a budget and travel according to it so I'm able to balance it.

In spite of all that there are many constraints like supporting the family financially. To fulfill all this I do some ad promotions apart from my channel. So, in order to make it stable we need to plan accordingly and go ahead with it.

6. What would you like to say to your followers?

Travel more, experience more and enjoy your life as the world is large and filled with many beautiful things. I would also like to tell that Travel vlogging is meant not only for boys, it works out for girls too. In Tamil Nadu, there are not much girls who experience this but in North India there are many girls who travel more than boys.

So, it is possible for girls also to take this up but the only thing is, if they come out of their comfort zone they will surely get a chance to explore a new and different world.
