I decided I want to pursue music at the age of 24 as a serious hobby which may one day turn into a career for me. The way I started was to begin working with producers and musicians to then create a sound which reflected who I am.
I was born and raised in the UK to an East African Gujarati family. I began my musical journey at a young age writing some poetry and also playing the harmonium and the keyboard. This then fueled a passion for me to attempt to sing along whilst I was practising the keys.
From this, I started to compose my own music using Indian, English and some Spanish influences to start to find my sound. In parallel, I had been working on making covers to Bollywood songs... Which in turn has triggered to begin to release my own original materials.

3. Who is your favourite artist and why?
Sonu Nigam as he was the artist that I looked up to growing up and I always dreamt of performing alongside and collaborating with him.
4. Can you throw some light on opportunities one gets as a singer?
We have to make our own opportunities and destiny, but some of the cool things I have done is to be invited to the IIFA awards in Mumbai. Perform at the Asian Viewers TV awards and many other performances. The best thing about all of these events is that you get lots of amazing food.
5. Is formal training required or can one train themselves purely on the basis of talent?
Formal training is not a requirement but consistency and passion are. I have had no stable formal training.
6. What piece of advice would you like to give to future and aspiring artists?
Be yourself, don't follow what others do to fit in and stay true to the music you like to compose and hear. Following the crowd only gets you lost and unheard.
7. Which is your favourite book and why?
The secret, by Rhonda Bryne, as it really helped me to focus any energies onto goals that I wish to achieve.
