Swathi Royal - I Got Another Chance to Work in a Kannada Serial as the Main Antagonist Lead (Actor)

 

I didn't know much about acting when I made my entry into the industry. I faced a lot of difficulties and my first project was a failure for me as I wasn't able to get a huge exposure in that. That failure was actually my steeping stone to take up acting as my career.

1. Tell us about your background and journey.

I'm a B.A Post graduate. I completed my MBA and was going for a job for around 4 years. After a particular point of time I was very much interested in doing MC. I am basically from mangalore and I hosted a reality show in Kannada and through that I got chance to act in serials and I did my debut in a Telugu serial called 'Kannamaari Kallaloo'.

Talking about my journey, it's been nine years since I entered this profession which was really unexpected for me. I wasn't determined to make acting as my career but it all just happened and now I'm in this field for a nine long years.

2. What led you to choose acting as your career?

I got another chance to work in a Kannada serial as the main antagonist lead where I learnt a lot by getting inputs from my director which molded me and strengthen my skill in acting.

3. What are your hobbies and interests?

My hobbies are quite different which I am not sure whether it is truly an hobby or not. I would do these two things as a routine in my life. They are:

• To keep my surroundings clean always even if it is in the middle of the night or anything. I always make sure that my place is hygienic whenever I come home from shooting
• Secondly, I would always wish my dear ones at 12 am without any reminders may it be a birthday, anniversary or anything

4. What are your current and upcoming projects?

I am currently playing a negative role 'Kanmani' in the tamil serial 'Oru oorla oru rajakumari' which is telecasted in Zee Tamizh for almost three years.

5. If not this, what would you be doing?

If not this, I would surely worked in the BPO and also I had a interest in becoming a HR. So, I would have been trying for that if I wasn't in acting.

6. Where does your inspiration lie?

I am actually very calm in nature and I didn't have the confidence of taking up a negative role. It was really a challenge for me to take up that role but my family supported me in all way possible. 

My Husband sowed the seeds of positivity in me and encouraged me that I can do it very well. So these really inspired me in becoming a successful artist in this field.

• Show dedication and proper time management for your work
