1. Tell us more about your company and your journey.

We are dealing with 2 organizations named Peacock Solar and Blitz Jobs.

Peacock Solar was established in 2017

Peacock solar has recognized that true energy revolution can be achieved if sustainability is built-in at the household level only, where energy consumption has tripled since 2000.

Since upfront cost is the biggest barrier for adopting solar, Peacock will provide access to solar at zero down-payment and let homeowners pay for their usage from the savings they make on their energy expenditure.

Peacock, thus, engages with homeowners in India's urban areas for the long term of 20 years to assist them in consuming clean energy (for reducing carbon footprints) produced by their rooftop solar panel and enhancing the quality of their family's life by adding more appliances in a sustainable manner.

In this way, the middle- income households can effortlessly switch to clean energy, consciously monitor their consumption & enhance it without harming our mother nature or burdening the environment.

Giving solar on an operating lease for residential customers was previously unimaginable of primarily due to enormous risk in default, low operating margins, and high cost of customer acquisition.

Peacock uses advanced data science models to evaluate household-level credit risks and then monitors the system performance of these distributed assets to ensure homeowners get the maximum benefit out of these systems.

The use of innovative financial offerings for homeowners generates higher returns for Peacock to traditional solar installation margins.

My Journey

I am a PGDM- HR specialist from one of the fortunate institutes. From my college days, I started working with corporate professionals to grab the idea of how corporate work and build a mutual relationship.

Coming to projects I'm involved in learning and believes that everything in learning teaches you a new lesson. I have started my carrier as a consultant from college only. joined home credit India as HRBP where she was managing a team of 2 HRs under her.

Then joined Eureka Forbes as an HR Generalist where I was into employee entire life cycle management. After a decade I choose to join a startup and my main journey started in Peacock Solar as a startup build various dept in HRs, Marketing, and Tech dept and mentored more than 2500+ candidates in aspects of Various dept.

Along with that with her team support decided to open a new venture and named as Blitz Jobs, Blitz jobs is well know growing startup which is specialized in providing startup and MNCs the best candidates in 6 working days and other HR Solution.

Being a young enthusiastic person who is ready to accept challenges and believes the time is the best chakra which teaches everyone so the best is one who adopts changes frequently.

2. How did you come up with this idea and go about executing it?

Being employed in a startup always teaches you the start-up phase started in a Human resource industry where I was capable to meet the challenges in day to day arena.

While exploring the different verticals in HR was the knowledge part and when we started mentoring the candidates from various colleges we came to know there are college candidates who need to be boosted for their final placements.

Then I thought why not build an organization where employers and employees can meet with the best-talented pools of candidates.

Being working in a startup we approached more than 500+ startups and got to know their pain point of hirings and finding the best candidates for their organization.

Then we came up with the venture of Blitz Jobs a single platform where candidates getting associated with blitz jobs will be placed in startups within 6 days.

3. What has been your biggest challenge that you faced and how did you overcome that?

The biggest challenge that we faced was hiring as many college candidates have been laid off or their offers were revoked during this pandemic.

But some new ventures were also get started in this pandemic which was dealing in e-commerce and tech giant industry we focussed that industries and placed a large number of freshers and experienced candidates with those organizations.

As a startup, many candidates were offered work from home facilities and we trained approx 2500+ candidates in this pandemic for various training and development sessions which led to now getting their placements.

4. How do you keep your employees and team engaged? What are some of the shifts in engagement strategies?

We have always keep our employees engaged in the below parameters-

We adopted the learning strategies from our employees and employers which acted like a 2-way communication for both the parties.
By providing work from home policy and flexible working hours within the organization.
• Conducted various skip levels meetings with each employee of the organization and shared the feedback for the same.
Provide them the opportunity to grow in their respective fields.
Honest feedback for the work by work module.

5. How important is skill development for employees and how do you do that?

Employee skill training sessions play an important role in our organization. We have always tried to build to learn from each other. Where I think our managers try to become the best coaches for their subordinates and guide the workflow.

The emphasis on soft skills trainings within the organization. In-House training is provided to employees within their working hours and we invest time and efforts in learning their full potential.

We always organize various types of certification programs and ask our employees to enroll in them so that they can enhance their skills and knowledge in a particular field and can become certified.

6. How according to you has HR as a profession evolved over the years?

India is one of the fastest-growing job markets in the world and since the economic reforms of enabling liberalization, privatization, and globalization in 1991, the country has seen an upsurge in the MNCs.

Also due to the recent reforms to provide assistance to upcoming start-ups and MSMEs, the number of such start-ups and MSMEs has increased. Thus, the market size for us to provide our services and expand our company is continuously increasing.

According to our survey, currently, there is 1 Million+ company functional in India. Out of which there are 5 Lakh+ registered medium, small and micro enterprises, and 50 Thousand+ start-up enterprises and rest the public and private residential and international corporations which require employment and HR services on daily basis.

Also, campus placements have become a crucial thing in all the educational institutions which require recruiters, counselors, HR services, trainers, etc. Thus, there already exists an ocean of opportunities, work, and effort in the given market which is growing rapidly.

7. What are some of the qualities you look for in a person when hiring for leadership?

Hiring a new employee can be costly and time-consuming. But as a business also we need to recruit such leaders in the organization who can bring profits to the company. We always look for smart candidates and long term potential.

A leader should always have a personality where his peers follow him for his work and an “out of box” person needs to be hired for the same. Candidates who can be team player, putting the plan into action, responsiveness, quick decision-maker, enthusiastic and passionate.
