Tarasha Diva - I Learnt This on Roadies From Rannvijay Sir to Be Always Grateful for Whatever You Have

My roadies experience was one of the most beautiful journeys ever. All I ever wanted was to experience it and I got super lucky that they selected me. It was very enriching, it was SO much fun also because we had good contestants! I saw some beautiful places from West Bengal to Bhutan, made lifelong friends and mentors

1.Tell us something about your background and journey.

I come from an Army background. I have grown up in all parts of the country, met people from all corners and cultures, played plenty of sports while being a national basketballer myself. The army life for kids is the best I feel, you get so much exposure at such a young age, you adjust well, you respect time and are punctual.

I learnt to shoot a pistol at the age of 10 and went on AK 47 later. It was an adventure growing up, and this lifestyle made me a very confident person as well. That’s why when someone asks me where I am from, I literally say “entire India”. I have been in 10 different schools growing up. My journey of life has been supremely beautiful, I have the coolest family, the best of friends, the cutest dog in the world Oscar & now an extended family on Instagram.

I’m a blessed kid. And I learnt this on Roadies from Rannvijay Sir to be always grateful for whatever you have, it’s there on my bio too 😉

2.What is the level of commitment and time required to make sports a career?

What you actually need is pure passion and everything else follows. It’s an upcoming profession in India but its growing well. The opportunities compared to other fields are less but you got to do what you love. I was always into sports growing up and especially basketball as it gave me an identity in school & made me extremely confident in life.

This is just me trying to give it back to my society. Sports has a lot of benefits for a kid and probably today parents are seeing that potential and also pushing kids to take it up as a career too. My ultimate goal is to have my own sports academy that fulfils the need to create a great athlete and am getting closer to that goal !

3.How can we encourage more youngsters to take up sports as a full-time profession?

Anything that needs to be taught to others should be done by setting a great example. And that’s how it has happened to me. Seeing people do well in this field gives you confidence that you can make a career out of it. Also, when new and exciting opportunities come in the market like Streetball, IMG reliance, UBA.

You have to be the change you want to see right!? Do that with all passion and work hard, that’s all! You will flourish for sure.

4.How would you distinguish the term blogger from an influencer?

Honestly, I don’t know for sure how the social media world works but what I feel personally is that a good influencer is the one who’s the page you go to and feel happy and connected, it feels real. I feel the best influencers of Instagram are the four-legged community and that’s why I only follow dogs. They make me happy!

And am guessing bloggers are more skilled in what they do!

5.How was your experience with 'Roadies X4'?

My roadies experience was one of the most beautiful journeys ever. All I ever wanted was to experience it and I got super lucky that they selected me. It was very enriching, it was SO much fun also because we had good contestants! I saw some beautiful places from West Bengal to Bhutan, made lifelong friends and mentors.

Did some crazy tasks. Figured how people do politics. Tricks to survive! Understood that the show is not scripted, lol. Learnt a lot about myself, how to deal under pressure, some life lessons that will always stay with me. I got a lot of love from the world, really! It was crazy and overwhelming and I was extremely grateful for it. Id love to go back on the show. ITS SO MUCH FUN!

6.What is your mantra of success.

Believe in your dreams. Work extremely hard for it. Be patient, persistent. Never get complacent or lazy about your goal. Work on yourself. Get better. Be kind. Always help people who aren’t as lucky as you are. And don’t forget to laugh, eat & exercise!
