Andika Oky Arisandi - Living Life Requires Passion, As Does Photography (Photographer)

1. Tell us about your background and journey.

My name is Andika Oky Arisandi, I am a photographer from Indonesia. I really like photography since I was a kid, I really like human life and culture, that's what makes me take time to enjoy the world by seeing other people's lives through photography.


2. How and when did you realize your passion for photography?

Since I was in high school, there have been many things I can do with light. I understand light and I do it self-taught, then when I take pictures many people like it, and when I am studying in college I am sure I will become a full photographer.


3. What are some tips you would like to share with amateur photographers?

Photography is about light. The photographer must know and understand how light makes great photos. Besides that, living life requires passion, as does photography.


4. What are the important skills one should have to be a successful photographer?

Keep on learning and practising, many basic techniques that must be mastered, never be afraid to try because good work starts with bad work then becomes extraordinary.


5. What are various opportunities available for aspiring photographers?

I see that for the next few years with the development of the times all will turn to digital and technology requires us to need images in every job, that's where the photographer's opportunity is. and I think a photographer's work is more valuable when it is good.


6. Which is your favourite book and why?

Maybe my answer is more personal because my favourite is the Qur'an because that's where my life guide and become encouragement in living life.
