1. Tell us about your Background and Journey?
I was born in Easter Europe and about 11 years ago I moved to the States to pursue my dream of becoming a Fashion Illustrator.
2. What inspired you to get into Fashion Illustrations in particular?
I always loved drawing since I was a little girl. In my twenties I decided to focus more on what brought me joy and passion and started my Instagram account. What inspired me to get started was the passion and desire to live a creative life, to be happy.
It took me a few good years of hard work and developing my skills to be noticed and eventually work with major brands. Hard work, Consistency and Patience always pays off.
3. How would you describe your Illustrative Style and your Muses?
I would describe my style to be very Detailed, Precise, always focusing on the story and feeling behind a certain brand/designer. The woman portrayed in each illustration is Confident, Charismatic and Seductive. She is always attending fabulous parties or on the go to her next adventure.
4. What mediums do you usually work with?
I mostly use markers and color pencils, occasionally I use watercolor. The background for my illustrations are created using Procreate.
5. What is the most challenging part of working in your field?
The tight deadlines, project changes in a short period of time and having a portfolio that is highly commercial, so you always have to be working on your art because styles and trends change very fast.
6. Who is your favorite Fashion Illustrator and Why?
My favorite illustrator is Harrison Fisher. I love the way he portrayed women and different social scenes using watercolor and pencils. Also his marketing strategy was fabulous.
7. How do you keep yourself Inspired and Motivated?
I read a lot when I am not drawing. Biographies of successful people and learning how we can change our lives by just changing our thoughts fascinates me and motivates me.
8. What tips and advice would you give to aspiring Fashion Illustrators?
My advice would be to draw every single day. Once you do that your art will improve and you will get noticed. Work so hard that they can’t ignore you anymore.
9. Which is your favorite Book and Why?
It’s hard to choose just one book . I loved reading “Think and grow rich” by Napoleon Hill , “Big Magic “ by Elizabeth Gilbert and “E2” by Pam Grout . These are my favorite books so far because they demonstrate how our thoughts influence our success and achieving our goals in life whatever those might be . They also provide an insight on how some successful people think and what we can learn from them.
