Swetha Sankar - I Do a Lot of Trial and Errors When It Comes to Writing (Writer)

 

There are thousands of content creators out there who are unique in their own way. So those of them who try their best to engage with the audience is my inspiration. They motivate me to create something good.

Tell us about your background and journey.

I am from Chennai and I come from a family of Engineers. So when my turn came I left the usual track and chose BA English and communication. Yes, I did got questioned but I knew that I will be happy in my decision and at the end of the day that's what really matters I think.

So they eventually agreed and my blog started on the go. I was at my lowest when I started my page. I was like, come on, there's nothing to lose so let me just try this out and it worked. I am sure that it's the best decision I have taken so far.

What inspires you to write?

I get inspired by everyone I meet. There are thousands of content creators out there who are unique in their own way. So those of them who try their best to engage with the audience is my inspiration. They motivate me to create something good.

If I had to pick two among them then it will be Sudha Murthy Ma'am and Beau Taplin.

Is it good to share your writings on social media or is there a better way?

I believe that there are good and bad things in every field. So it depends on the way we see it. Personally, I got introduced to an ocean of opportunities only after I started uploading my work on Instagram. People reached out to me, shared my posts, gave suggestions and motivated me even when I was not consistent at times.

I would suggest the budding writers to use Wattpad and Instagram to showcase their works.

How do you manage to come up with regular content and is consistency important in such blogs?

I do a lot of trial and errors when it comes to writing. Not everything I write will be uploaded for people to see. I would suggest that it's better to keep up with the trend and understand our follower's likes.

Yes, consistency is important but for me, it's always quality over quantity.


Which is your favourite book and why?

The harry potter book series is my favourite one because we all hustle and work hard and in the meantime, see people changing every day but after all, this, lazed up in my bed with the HP book and a good cup of coffee in my hand makes me believe that there are still things that remains the same and this book feels like home to me. 

It's like a warm hug that awaits for me after a hectic day.
