Dating back to our evolution, communication was largely used for survival; to coordinate and alarm each other of the threats in the life of the forest. Agriculture paved way for settlement of human groups without having to wander for food, which led to the growth of villages and thus – Civilizations were born. Communication became undeniably essential not only for survival but also for us to thrive.
Today we communicate to express fully, to reach our highest potential, for knowledge; to share ideas that could change the course of this world.
Without communication, our brain and its cognition would be an unused machine. In my perspective, the essence of human communication is to unleash our higher self by communicating what truly matters; which in a way, serves others. Therefore, whether it is through my role as a writer, presenter or an executive coach, I want to serve others with my communication.
2. How can one be successful with multiple professions?
This myth that you have to pursue only one single profession is preposterous. If you know how to manage and switch your roles as required according to time and circumstance, this is 100 percent possible. I wear multiple hats on a professional front with conviction and I believe you can be successful with multiple professions too.
3. How to be an Effective Communicator and Public Speaker?
Two of the most important tips to bear in mind:
- Change your self-talk: How you communicate with others largely comes from within you (who you are). If your self-talk is negative, you are believing that to be your truth, when it isn’t. This can hamper the way you communicate both verbally and non-verbally.
- Know your style and audience: Every communicator has a distinct style. Don’t ever let that die. Your authenticity is your trump card. Your style even though yours, may change with varying environments. In the same fashion, know your audience and use your style accordingly.
4. What is the story behind your digital talk show – The Tenzin Show?
Social media today has a wide range of content, which sometimes can get overwhelming to consume. I have never been a social media person and never really enjoyed the digital world so much, even back in time as a teenager. It was only during the pandemic that I crafted this whole idea of the show.
Post the outbreak of the Novel Corona Virus, the morale of people everywhere were down and hence I started The Tenzin Show to produce uplifting content. I knew what I wanted to offer – value, inspiration, knowledge and share the success stories of achievers of our era which is the central theme of the show.
I never wanted to do what would be more popular; rather I wanted to offer genuine quality. The Tenzin Show (on Instagram) now has had eminent guests from all industries including Bollywood Celebrities, Industrialists, Doctors, Researchers and more who’ve shared their success journeys and their perspectives on success.
5. What impact would you like to create in your community and the world?
The Tibetan community where I belong from is very small. Most of the Tibetans have this happy-go-lucky mindset. They are content at heart and love to live in their own cocoon and don’t like to step outside the community as much.
The affinity to stay within the community is more as Tibetans have lost their country. They want to preserve their culture and tradition but often times, this stalls their overall development.
Unemployment plagues the community and most of the fresh Tibetan graduates are lost seeking for guidance. I want to invigorate the youth of the Tibetan community to dream big and represent our ethnicity on a global level.

Following the path and teachings of our spiritual leader – His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama (Tenzin Gyatso), whatever I am pursuing and will pursue, my energies will be directed towards serving humanity in this world.
