1. Tell us about your background and journey?

I was born in St. Petersburg, a beautiful city where art lives everywhere. I grew up in this artistic atmosphere, that is how I fell in love with this beauty. I've always loved drawing, design and fashion since I can remember as a child. I realized the only way to develop this passion was to obtain my diploma and master’s degree with a specialization in design.

2. What inspired you to get into digital fashion illustrations in particular?

Since my childhood I have always had 2 passions - the design and the fashion world. So, becoming fashion illustrator, it was merely the union of my passions. It was so natural for me to be more a feeling than a decision. After all, the best things happen spontaneously, don't they?

3. How would you describe your illustrative style and your muses?

I am a fashion illustrator trying to illustrate how we apply trends and fashion in our normal days of urban affairs. And each of us is so different and yet so unique to be special and this allow even those who do not know us to understand from the first look something more about us, something real and unique.

In short, live art, true art. Something that no one can remain indifferent to. This is exactly what inspires me when I am drawing my fashion illustrations. So my Muses are all around!

4. Why do you prefer making your Illustrations Digitally?

Thanks to my drawing technique, my fashion illustrations seem to harmonize computer graphics and watercolor painting. The precise and rigorous lines of the digital world merge themselves with color transition, which dissolves into space. And only the Digital can give me all this. So now, at work, I am inspired by - "The Digital is the New Black!"

5. What is he most challenging part of working in your field?

I like to analyze and to compare the different tendencies of fashion all around the world. So, drawing fashion illustrations, for me is like writing a story. A true story.

6. Who is your favorite Fashion Illustrator and Why?

My favorite Fashion Illustrator is David Downton. Purely style & art, possible only to see, without comment')

7. How do you keep yourself Inspired and Motivated?

I love to study, study and study. Everything. For example, learning languages, because I believe it is one of the ways to understand part of a country's artistic culture and therefore it increases the ability to illustrate its fashion component and its trends, opening our own mind of fashion illustrator to a variety of abilities and artistic visions.

8. What tips and advice would you give to aspiring Fashion Illustrators?

Need only much practice, really. To improve a personal style different from others and being always updated about fashion trends.

9. Which is your favorite Book and Why?

My favorite book is Storia della bellezza (History of Beauty) of Umberto Eco. Art, Philosophy and Story.. all in one book.. not easy to find..
