Be passionate towards your work and try to analyze your weakness and strength. The one who identifies his weakness is the most successful person in his career. He/ She should be able to find out his flavor of taste in direction where one can direct crime well and one can be good at romance and many more. One will be able to figure it out when he does two or three short films itself.
1. Tell us about your background and journey.
I am a graduate in engineering. I used to do many stage shows and I was a mimicry artist in Vijay and Sun tv and did few short films. Apart from this, I always wished to become a director so I just made a SWOT analysis to myself and realized that my area of field is different and I started working for it leaving everything else beside.
Taking up the role of a director is a great challenge till we complete our project successfully where we face many kinds of issues. In order to chase my dream I did few short films named "Yours Shamefully 1 and 2", " Vijay Ellam Oru Hero Vaa" which gave a great reach to my career in Direction.
2. How and where do you get inspiration to churn out content?
I always wished to convey my films in a very different way. For example there is a series called "Black Mirror" which is based on the concept of the events that takes place in future if the present is not valued seriously. Each and every part of that series was mind blowing and could see the work and effort involved in it.
These kind of concepts is my mere preference and inspiration. I would like to make the kind of films that I enjoy and I believe that if my content excites me means it will also excite the minds of the audience too.
3. What impact do you want to create in the world?
My impact is to deliver my views and thoughts to all the people out there through my films. According to me, Whenever we want to deliver a social message, most of us use the tool of Instagram, face book and other media sites to deliver what we are trying to say and we can't be sure if it really reaches everyone or not but if it is shown as a film, it would really go beyond the wider audience and our thoughts would also reach many.
After my short film "Yours Shamefully", I got many messages stating that they will surely follow the advice that was shown in the film and will continue to make themselves a good citizen. This is the impact that I want to create and I'm still working on it to proceed even more further.
4. What are your current and upcoming projects?
I am currently working on a film "Thittam irrandu" with Aishwarya Rajesh and it is about to release on May.
5. What advice would you like to give to the future and aspiring artists?
Be passionate towards your work and try to analyze your weakness and strength. The one who identifies his weakness is the most successful person in his career. He/ She should be able to find out his flavor of taste in direction where one can direct crime well and one can be good at romance and many more. One will be able to figure it out when he does two or three short films itself.
Most importantly one shouldn't be urgent or fast while filming because it can lead to a lot of errors and dissatisfaction and will be very hard to come out of it. I am an example for that where I did many mistakes in my first film and I went through a long struggle to come out of it.
So we should first properly analyze, prepare well and then take it into action in order to make our career a successful one.
