A commercial fishing vessel named as Andrea Gail was lost at the sea. There were six men crew and the vessel fishing the ocean out of Gloucester Massachusetts. But why are we doing about this after 30 years?
It is because the Gloucester Andrea Gail is still remembered through a book and a film in the whole Nation and moreover in the coastal communities.
Gloucester, one of the Oldest sea ports of America has a very massive bronze statue of a fisherman with the wheel of his ship under his statute. More than 300 thousand names of residence who was lost in the sea was engraved on this statue.
This storm had killed six fisherman, the captain and the crew of Andrea Gail this storm had also affected the coastal areas with five hundred million dollars damage to the property and killing more than 13 people. But this is not enough, this storm had also lifted a small Marshfield home from its foundation. The winds that hit the coast were no less as more than a hundred boats were tossed and destroyed.

A person named Richard Haworth who had been the captain of Andrea Gail for more than 8 years claimed that the ship was modified which led to its sinking many others have their own theories explaining the sinking of this vessel.
Jack Flaherty a fisherman theorized that because of the muddy fuel, the engine of the ship was damaged leading to its sinking. In 1991 during the excavation for the vessel many items were procured which was later considered to be the part of Andrea Gail. It was also found that the vessel was never found and assumed to be lying in the general proximity of Titanic.
