I am a motivational speaker by choice not by chance.
Well, as my profile says, I m a doctor by profession. Besides this, I am a motivational speaker who wants to unfurl positivity around and this platform is the most appropriate place to spread the word of mouth.
2. How do you chose and prepare for a talk?
I think we learn our whole life. So, choosing a topic of the talk is not just a matter of choice but the need of society. Preparation is the primary step because it needs a lot of research and homework on the topic that I happily do.
3. How can one become a public speaker?
I think a person can become a public speaker if he is observant. If he looks around, he easily comes to know what to speak, where to speak and how to speak.
4. Can motivational speaking become a full-time career?
Yes, it can surely be a full-time career. But, I don't see it as a full-time occupation for me as I am already a doctor practising in my field. I am a motivational speaker by choice not by chance.
5. Which is your favourite talk ever and how did it change your life?
If I talk about my favourite talk, it was my talk with some schoolgirls in a reputed school (I would prefer not to mention here).
There were so many things that they shared and discussed. I was amazed to see so mature perspective of those little angels and changed my outlook in so many ways.
6. What are the best public speaking tips that have worked for you?
I think tips and tricks don't work much for me. Being natural among people is my strength and that's all that I do. And believe me, it works...
7. What impact do you want to make in the world?
As I have travelled to many countries around the world, I have observed a couple of things that need to be resolved globally. It could be education, moral values, teenager's problems or other social issues. I just want to see a smile on every face.
8. Which is your favourite book and why?
My favourite book is Shiv Khera's 'You Can Win'. It is a special book that can change anyone's life.
