1. Tell us about your background and journey.

I grew up in a council estate and quite a rough school- never dreamed I’d be where I am today. I fell in love with MT quite late, around 16/17 and was persuaded by my college teachers to audition for drama school... and here I am! I always wanted to be a singer/ songwriter and I am still determined to continue living that dream! I feel so unbelievably lucky everyday to live a creative life!!

2. Did you ever think or dream of becoming an actor?

Yes! But I just thought it was never a thing that could happen for me!

I used to act scenes of movies out to myself in the mirror when I was a kid- playing all the parts.

3. How can one approach their career and have the confidence and belief to become an actor?

Be a sponge. Learn learn learn. Have faith in your ability and that you are unique. The biggest rob of joy for creative people is comparison. So stay in your own lane and give yourself tunnel vision for what you want. What you put in you get out. So train up. 

Learn new skills. Educate your mind and your body ready for whatever the industry might throw at you. You don’t have to go to drama school. But you always have to learn.

4. What are you currently doing?

Working as a care taker for people with learning disabilities. Completing my level 3 pt and nutrition qualifications. Running Jodie Steele Associates online and teaching one to one singing/ acting lessons and dance workshops. Few demo recordings here and there and I’ve been lucky enough to do some creative online acting bits.

5. How did you build a following in Instagram?

I think it was a mix of Wicked, Heathers and Six. Mental that anyone cares what I’m up to but I really appreciate all the support, honestly it’s overwhelming! I just hope I give enough back.

6. If not this, what would you be doing?

This is my dream. If I was not that means, I wouldn't be the one who I should actually be.
