You might be wondering if 'Broaster' is an actual term? No, it’s not. Broaster is a blended term of “broiled” and “roasted” chicken. It has been a common fact where the Korean fried chicken is preferred over Midwestern broasted chicken.
The broasted chicken is more complicated in making as the
spices from India and Pakistan are added in it with surprising flavors and marking
it global.
Using The Frypan
For roasting the broasted chicken, frypan was invented and
used. Along with this equipment, Louis Austin Merritt “L.A.M.” Phelan came up
with his own marinades and coatings. These taste profiles and methods are still
used even today as genuine Broaster chicken.
Even though the Broasted chicken is fried in a frypan, it is
different from fried chicken. “A lot of people don’t necessarily think of
Broasted chicken as fried chicken though it technically is fried”, said Greg
West.
Making Of Broasted Chicken
Sometimes, Broasted chicken is synonymous with fried chicken
in places like Pakistan. Broasted chicken has many spicy Chickite marinade and
Slo-Bro coating, fried in an open-fryer. It has a classic flavor with
distinctively crispy skin in these places.
Making Of Fried Chicken
Fried chicken is usually juicy, crusty and has
finger-licking taste. Cornstarch is typically used in fried chicken whereas white
flour is used for Broasted chicken. It takes around 14 minutes to make this
dish ready.
Is Broasted Chicken Good For Health?
While cooking Broasted chicken, we use a pressure cooker for
around 2 minutes to boil the chicken. So, the cooks add a point that the
pressure locked out the cooking oil but it is considered a myth. During the usage
of pressure cooker, there is a small amount of moisture loss and oil absorption.
Other than that, there’s no disappearance of oil. This also
helps in cooking the chicken well and not keeping it in raw form. This absorption
also helps in enhancing the flavors.
Everything that is made with oil is bad for health if it is consumed
in larger amounts. So, it is advised to eat it in limited quantity so that you
can enjoy the taste as well.

fried chicken served with a curry mango jalapeno dip which is paired with a
pizza or burger. Isn’t it mouth-watering? Yes, both fried and broasted chicken have
a larger market throughout the world.
