1. Tell us about your background and journey.
My name is Andrew Laske and my best friend is a 4 year old Bernedoodle named Benji. I just turned 30 this past November and never have I felt more alive and driven with purpose.
I grew up in a small town outside St Louis, Missouri and after graduating with my Mechanical Engineering Degree from the University of Missouri, I moved to Nashville, Tennessee, then Seattle, Washington and most recently Los Angeles, California where we currently live just a few blocks away from the beach. It was when I was living in Seattle that Benji came into my life and the rest has been history!
2. How did you come up with the idea of posting interesting and funny videos with your pet?

So pairing Benji’s handsomeness and adventurous spirit w/ my desire to live my best life, we’ve created a cocktail that’s strong, spicy and sweet!
3. How did you build up a following in Instagram?
We built up our following by being ourselves and by staying consistent. We actually had a video go viral that was being shared all around the world back in May. Our IG account began to explode, but unfortunately it was hacked and ultimately deleted a week later.
After a couple months of feeling sorry for ourselves, I decided to restart the page in August and with the support of our online community, we’re continuing to grow and bring more smiles and inspiring people all over the world.
4. What are your hobbies and interests?
Our hobbies and interests list is not a short one lol but to sum up, we love to stay active. A few of our top activities include rollerblading, scootering, biking, hiking, basketball, football, laying at the beach, running around at the beach, skiing, kayaking, jetskiing, gator tours, whale watching tours, just being a tourist in a new city and volunteering at the local children’s hospital as a dog therapy team.
5. What are you currently doing?
For the past 5 years I had been working for a large corporate company, Schneider Electric, as a sales engineering, but as of January 15th I decided to leave this profession and pursue a life of travel with Benji.
That being said, we’re heading out of LA and going to be hitting the road full time to promote epic adventures and embrace every moment that we’re gifted together. Life’s too short to not take risks, follow your heart and pursue your dreams.
6. What are your future plans?
Now that I’m full time and all in on lilmanlife, we will be traveling to wherever we desire, selling our very own merchandise, promoting fun experiences, creating content for companies we care about, advocating for a more dog friendly future and bringing smiles to countless people all over the world along the way.
7. What would you like to say to all pet lovers like you?
To all of you that treat your pets like your children, you are doing it right! I’ve always said if you’re going to do something, do it with passion, love and resilience. It’s not always easy having to advocate for your fluffy friend to go and do as we do, but I believe in a world where dogs are more than dogs and dog friendly is the future.
