‘After’ revolves around the life of a young girl named Tessa who has a simple life. She has a caring boyfriend who treats her well and a smooth going life until Hardin bumps into her life. They both are totally opposite to each other yet similar when it comes to having a tragic past but in the series of events , Tessa falls in love with Hardin.
She thinks that Hardin loves her too but her whole thinking turns upside down when she finds out that Hardin was just completing a dare of getting physically close with Tessa.
She is devastated for a while with this fact and feels really upset for her ex- boyfriend who really loved her and about her as she thought that Hardin was really into her. Later, Hardin realizes and tells Tessa that although it all started just as a challenge or dare to him but eventually he really fell for Tessa and he loves her really.
Tessa is already in chaos, heartbroken and decides not to believe Hardin and recalls their first kiss by visiting the lake where it happened and where she decided to be in a relationship with Hardin.
About the Author
Anna Renee Todd (born March 20, 1989) is an American author and screenwriter, who is best known for her After series. She started publishing on the social storytelling platform Watt-pad. Todd grew up in Dayton, Ohio.
She married her husband Jordan, an American soldier, when she was 18 years old and the two moved to Fort Hood, Texas, where she worked at a Waffle House and the makeup counter of ULTA Beauty. She has a son named Asher with her husband. She also has an older brother and younger sister.
She started by writing stories on her phone with the Watt-pad app in 2013, publishing a chapter almost daily for over a year.Todd wrote three books in the After series on Watt-pad.
In October 2014, Paramount Pictures acquired film rights to the ’After’ series with Offspring Entertainment set to produce.
