Sonu Singh Rajput - Acting Skills Is The Key That Leads You To Success (Casting Director)

Challenges come to everyone's life and how you deal with this, that makes you strong.

1. Tell us about your background and journey. And how do you start this business?

I came here to help my female friend's career. Before this I had worked as a Bank manager in delhi.

Destiny has planned something different for me. My plan was to join job but I didn't got that much pay as I worked earlier.Then one of my friends suggest that you can work as a casting director. As I was not from this background so I joined as an intern. Through my hardwork, selfability and by God's grace within more than 2 years of span I became casting head. I think challenges come to everyone's life and how you deal with this, that makes you strong. whenever I remember my struggle period some how my eyes got teared but at the same time I'm proud of myself, I worked as a casting assistant in ‘Creative Eye production’, Show-Ishq Subhan Allah for Zee Tv, ‘Shoonya Asquire’, Guddan Tumse Na Hoga for Zee Tv,  ALT Balaji webseries Karle tubhi mohabate season 2.

As Casting  Director, ‘Nandkishor Telefilms’, Teen Saheliya web series for Ultra, Betva for Star Plus, Short films for Netflix ‘Love Ok Plss’ for mxplyer, Rodies xi for MTV, Splitsvilla 12 for MTV etc  & lots of TVC.

But turning point of my career was when I did Pooja films & Entertainment Vashu Bhagnani’s Movie-Khamoshi and Colosceum Media Pvt Ltd ‘Hum Saaf Saaf Hain’ for Colors Rishtey it's for clean India.

2. What is your biggest pet peeve on the audition room?

While auditioning if someone don't understand the character brief and who are not punctual on time. Because Time is most important for everyone.

3. How do you decide who to cast for an important role?

First of all Character look has to be matched and second thing he/she know how to act. so both look of the character and acting skills are important.

4. What qualities do you look for an actor?

Body Personality is a part of actor but acting skills is the key that leads you to success. So don't fear about failure and rejection.

Keep working on your skills and be self confident. Do your best one day you will achieve what you have desire. And one more thing don't fade yourself in the glam lights of others because you will meet different kind of people some are there to distract you and some are there to genuinely help you. So find the real one.

5. Which is your favourite book and why?

Bhagwat Gita is my favourite book because it deals with every aspect of life. Morality, kindness, integrity, challenges  and beliefs. Sont loose hope , give your best in every situation. Basically it guides us.

I am very emotional full human being believe on my hard work honesty & my self ability journey kind of roller coaster ride, ups and downs but I enjoyed alot in every phases of pain & happiness. I believe that nothing is permanent so enjoy the time if you are dealing with your success so it is only that you have dealt your tough time smoothly because success comes to those who never give up.
