I always told myself that hard work and realistic expectations will help me reach my goal and I will never take no for answer.
1. Tell us about your background and journey.
My career began in 2004 after arriving in India from NY and becoming a VJ for channel V but it took off in an upward direction after Indian Idol.
2. Did you ever think or dream of being an actor?
I have always considered myself an entertainer. Whether it's singing or acting I love both mediums of expression.
3. How can one approach their career and have the confidence and belief to become an actor?
Confidence is the key. Along with that is a command over your voice and dialogue delivery. You can always achieve any goal so long as you never give up.
4. If not this, what would you be doing?
I think I would be a Mixed Martial arts Fighter or a Boxer as that is also something I love doing.
5. For a compete outsider with inroads, what advice would you like to give?
I am also an outsider and in many ways am still one. I always told myself that hard work and realistic expectations will help me reach my goal and I will never take no for answer. Something not happening doesn't mean it will never happen if you truly believe in yourself.
6. What is your mantra of success?
You can never lose if you never give up.
7. Which is your favorite book and why?
The Alchemist because of it's simplicity in saying what is meant to happen will happen if its supposed to happen and if not it will never happen. Now thats a happening answer!
