“The Truth is you are at war with yourself that’s why you find yourself at war with others.” This is one of many heartfelt quotes from the book that is going to have a permanent space in your heart.

Dear stranger, I know how feel is an amazing book written by Ashish Bagrecha which talks about the mental health of a person which is often ignored in our society. This book comes under the category of self-help books but this book is a lot more than that. Through this book, the author wants to tell the reader that when the world is not with you, I am here to support you, to handle you, and to listen to what you want to say.

The book throws the light on how people fail to realize that their loved ones need them and also want a shoulder to cry on.

This book, ‘Dear stranger I know how you feel’ is a debut book of author Ashish Bagrecha and consists of 30 letters written with utmost patience and love to make people realize that they are not alone and that there is someone out there who believes in them.

Ashish wrote this book in a very simple and lucid language, where each letter works as a reminder to get away from any kind of hardship they faced or to stand-in front of them, confront them, fight with them and make it go away.

As told earlier, this whole book has 30 chapters in form of letters starting from pain to happiness. Other letters are emptiness, anxiety, insomnia, heartache, forgiveness, healing, love, friendship, family, and every other emotion that a human can possibly feel.  Talking about writing, we must say that the letters are so practical. Your heart just automatically connects when you start reading it and then stopping to read this book is just irresistible.

This book is recommended strictly for those people who feel lonely and who are fighting or ever fought depression in their lives. This heartfelt book stands out among many other self-help books because of the writing style of the book and the words which were used by the author. The author himself is a depression survivor and knows how complicated the situation is. So, the author felt a really great connection while writing this book because he wants every person in this world not to suffer from depression and suffer alone like he did.

“You are the master of your own existence and you have the power to turn your life around.” This book provides you a boost of motivation and helps you to conquer all the hardships in your life. This book aspires you to forgive and forget all those moments that hurt you in the past or are hurting you in the present or are going to haunt you in the future.

“Forgiveness is acknowledgment. Acknowledgment that they hurt you, whether intentionally or by design, and that you had no control over their behavior.” Bagrecha says that the people will come into your life and will leave after teaching you a lesson, doesn’t matter good or bad, the only thing that you can do is acknowledge it and embrace it. Get inspired from the good ones and learn from the bad ones.

So, ending with another heartfelt quote from the author which says, For all the strangers fighting the dark days. I’ll always write about you, for you, to you.”
