Poirot solves a series of murders on the cruise, starting with that of a wealthy English heiress. As he moves on with his inspection it seems everyone on board has something to hide.

About the Book
Source - European Graphic Novels
Death on the Nile is a fantastically well written novel being one of the best-loved and most famous works of Agatha Christie. It entails a sweeping mystery of love, jealousy and betrayal.
Though the book was written a long time ago it still marvels people today. The book was inspired by her travels in Egypt as she picks up geographical and historical details throughout her time there.
The book is at the top of the game here as it keeps readers on their toes winding through the false trails, mistaken assumptions and revelations with a definitely warm character, Hercule Poirot, navigating with quiet confidence and logic reasoning his way uncovering the murder.
Death on the Nile is being adapted into a film that is due out in the cinemas in February 2022, following the success of the 2017 adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express.
Previous adaptations of Death on the Nile include the 1978 feature film and the first radio adaptation based on the book in 1997. Since then, it has been adapted into a PC game and a graphic novel.
Analysis of Common Threads in her Novels
Christie’s crime novels often used the same story development with the main character - a detective or private investigator who discovers the murder or a past friend somehow associated with the murder.
In her novels she kills one or few main characters (suspects) of the story to leave readers shocked and confused that they were wrong about the criminal’s identity.
Another common thread in her novels was developing a psychological struggle to use topical references, simple diction and brilliant characters to make the readers feel as they were sitting in an audience and watching the plot build and unfold.
Her novels invite all types of readers into her stories with a brilliant combination of murder, good writing and her most famous protagonists - Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple.
Famous Quotes
“Love can be a very frightening thing. That is why most great love stories are tragedies.”
“It is not the past that matters, but the future.”
“But then, how do you know?. Because I am Hercule Poirot I do not need to be told.”
“Love is not everything, Mademoiselle. It is only when we are young that we think it is.”
“Women, however charming, have this disadvantage: they distract the mind from food!.”
The Bottom Line
It is an engaging novel featuring a sophisticated group, an ingenious plot, clever deduction, swift-paced narrative with a little romance on the side lending glamour and first rate entertainment.
The book provides a bloody good read with Christie’s great eye of crime and outstanding characters often portraying stereotypes like that of self-centered socialites, oppressive mothers, and vengeful women and men, each described with exquisite detail, giving the readers suspense full of thrilling experiences.
If you are someone who enjoys crime fiction and novels, like me, this book is a must read to have on your list.
