It sounds like you didn't actually read the book, just the jacket synopsis and the first couple pages- a tired, unenlightening review of a banal, overrated book. Also, if you're going to use a quote you should probably name its source- that awful nonsense about man's best friend (your quote #2) is something Joan Rivers said, not the authors, as you make it seem. I hope you're not being paid for this.
