I want to abolish animal cruelty cosmetic testing on animals and the mystery treatment and exploration of animals and I also want things to be kind I want ridiculous and stupid things like racism and castism and classes into the end.
1. Tell us more about what you do and what led you to speak on this platform.
I'm an actor and a spoken word poet and a lot of my life experiences are with issues such as gender roles and body shaming or having been bullied for being different that lead me to write poetry because that's something that comes naturally to me so it's a form of expression for me or a form of healing. I wrote to have myself and then I started recording my videos and publishing them and they started doing well and getting like a lot of reshares and then I realized that I can't put my poetry in my life experiences out there through my art form and it will resonate with people.
2. How do you chose and prepare for a talk?
Well, I, only speak about things that I can feel strongly about something and I know that is in my space and reality and that I can talk about that I can add in an enriching aspect too because I can't talk about things that I don't have experience on so I choose and prepare on something that as it resonates with me a lot whether it's a personal issue or a social issue or something like that I'm going through then I write down my thoughts and then I shape them like make it clear I add some structure to my thoughts then I rehearse multiple times and then I speak.
3. Can motivational speaking become a full-time career?
Yes, I think it can be if you're good at it that there is a market in an audience for pretty much everything today and I think that is called to do this.
4. Which is your favourite talk ever and how did it change your life?
I don't have a favourite talk ever but I have a lot of beautiful talks that have resonated with me one is on vulnerability by BR brand rany brown there are a few other ones on I love RuPaul's master class on the master class website which talks a lot about identity and he says it's a beautiful thing that looks at the darkness but doesn't care which I think is a beautiful approach for today's time I'm doing a lot of masterclasses and those are things that I've enjoyed screenwriting master class by adding soccer is something that I like to learn.
5. What are the best public speaking tips that have worked for you?
I worked on rehearse, practice, prepare the thing that works for me most is preparation for writing down the reading, re-reading, rehearsing and muscle memory. I can say my poetry in my sleep if someone wakes me up at 4:00 a.m. and asks me to muscle memory and I think then when you know what you have to say and you can be comfortable then you can just say it and add a natural and centre performance to it that works.
6. What impact do you want to make in the world?
I want to abolish animal cruelty cosmetic testing on animals and the mystery treatment and exploration of animals and I also want things to be kind I want ridiculous and stupid things like racism and castism and classes into the end.
7. Which is your favourite book and why?
Again, it's currently "Green Lights" by "Matthew McConaughey" but it's not I mean I have multiple favourites in different categories but this is something that I like right now.
