1. Tell us about your background and journey.
I was born and raised in Goa. Since childhood, I thought I would be a professional singer and dancer! But I couldn't continue it when I started college. I got my first camera in 2015 when I was completing my b.sc and got selected for the street Exhibition held in Goa.
But then I further realized that it was very expensive to buy more gears related to photography and I could not afford it. So I stopped and started working for an event management company in Mumbai. I didn’t want to continue my chemistry studies, where I shot a live gig for the company as I already had a camera!
Got many appreciations from my friends and colleagues and also from the artist! So I gave a thought about restarting my photography in 2019 as I got my first second-hand camera by the money earned through events. And I used to go daily early in the morning at 5 o'clock from Nallasopara to Churchgate and capture some random street, nature shots! Where many a time I came across few people whose smiles I captured were priceless.
So I started my Instagram page got a few collaborations and gigs and traveled on photo tours and traveled back to Goa and started freelancing and started my own brand - Captureindia. And the journey continued!
2. How and when did you realize your passion for photography?
When I got to shoot my first gig in 2019 in Mumbai that was the wedding of my friend's cousin. And when they received the picture they were so happy and that smiles and compliments by them made me realize that this is what I want to do.

3. What are some tips you would like to share with amateur photographers?
Light is one of the most important factors to consider when taking a photo.
Light also creates depth and can turn a plain photo into something special. Keep in mind that natural sunlight can provide beautiful highlights and add definition to objects. On the flip side, a lack of light can create haunting silhouettes and interesting shadows. Make sure to use light to your advantage!
Understand Composition
Composition is an essential feature in photography. Once you understand it and can efficiently use compositional techniques, your photography will improve. One of the challenges that photography for beginners comes with is that it is quite challenging to pick one category to master their career.
However, where there is an interest, there is a way. Try to photograph things you are passionate about. Explore different genres of photography, to level up your skill-set before you decide the area of specialization. Practice, Practice, Practice
4. What are the important skills one should have to be a successful photographer?
Eye for Detail, Creativity, Communication Skills, understand lighting, composition, exposure control, and more.
5. What are various opportunities available for aspiring photographers?
There are many opportunities nowadays like Wedding photography, Commercial photography, Travel Photography, Photojournalist, Sports photographer, Wildlife photographer, Fashion photography, stock photographer.
