Religion for me is a way of living a life full of faith. It is a ray of hope at times of despair, guidance for my moral duties towards nature and society. It’s the root of all my deeds. It guides me to perform my duties without getting entitled to the thought of the fruits attached to my actions.

1. Tell us about your childhood and journey?

I started my spiritual journey from the age of seven under the guidance of the elders of my family who instilled values in me through the medium of spiritual stories which motivated me to move towards Spirituality. There was never a rigid plan regarding this journey, everything happened on its own. With time a sense of clarity came into my thought process and emotional levels.

I could sense how I can improve more as a person and as soon as that realization came I never stopped working on that path and with time I became so engrossed in my journey that I never realized when it became a part of my career, my daily work and an important part of worship. I strongly believe it was all destined to happen, everything was planned by God.

2. What is religion for you and how would you describe it?

Religion for me is a way of living a life full of faith. It is a ray of hope at times of despair, guidance for my moral duties towards nature and society. It’s the root of all my deeds. It guides me to perform my duties without getting entitled to the thought of the fruits attached to my actions.

In Bhagavad Gita chapter 2 verse 47, we learn,

कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन |
मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भूर्मा ते सङ्गोऽस्त्वकर्मणि || 47 ||

This means we should perform our duties to the greatest potential without concerning about the fruits of results nor be attached to inaction. So I believe if people are well versed with the knowledge of religion they know the difference between being superstitious and being religious.

3. What is your Modus operandi?

My approach before starting any project or content is laying down the facts of the matter and connecting the dots to the knowledge I have gained through different experiences of my life also from reading religious scriptures to different books on relevant topics or interacting with different kinds of people from diverse work fields.

I believe in self researching about the topics thoroughly by reading, interacting, and not leaving anything in between, no undone projects, if I start something I make sure it is completed within the time structure I have set, no matter what.
I strictly maintain a disciplined work ethic, which facilitates me to complete my projects on time without compromising the quality of the project.

4. Do you face criticism or harassment how do you deal with it?

Yes of course. I believe everyone who is interacting with people at large public forums or someone who is popular has to deal with criticism. I too face criticism on a daily basis.
I appreciate it when people provide me with constructive and positive criticism as it is a great way of giving feedback, it definitely helps in making positive improvements. I believe nobody is perfect and there is always room for improvement so it is really helpful.

Negative criticism is also present whenever anything is shared in the public no matter how positive or enlightening it is. Initially the trolling in personal messages and comment sections did hurt me a little bit but with time I have realized that whosoever is in the field of social media has to deal with both aspects of criticism be it negative or positive. I have accepted living a life full of peace and love towards everyone so the unnecessary negativity doesn’t affect my mental peace anymore.

With regards to harassment,
Being a girl there is always a sense of fear when stepping out in huge crowds, you cannot interact or involve much with the crowd easily or without being a little worried because of disappointing experiences of women worldwide. So proper distance is always maintained to avoid any needless circumstance.

5. You have plans of involving in politics like many other religious leaders?

No, I do not have any plans in joining politics right now. I know Politics is a great medium of bringing improvement in the lives of people at a much greater scale, it is an amazing opportunity for anyone to do huge things for the betterment of humankind as well as nature but at the present moment of my life I do not believe that I am capable enough of joining politics, I am happy and content with the work I’m currently doing.

6. What genre of books you like to read?

Any book which helps in bringing a positive change in my life interests me.
To be more specific I love to read spiritual, religious, motivational, and inspirational books. I am an avid reader of Bhagavad Gita ji, I believe it is the guiding light for a peaceful life as it has the answers for all the questions we have.
I am also very fond of the writings of Swami Vivekananda Ji.

7. Most people are not getting their last rites because of Covid. What is your message to family members of such people?

Nobody ever imagined a situation like this. It is heartbreaking to see so many people suffering tremendously with this disaster-like situation. Losing a loved one is the greatest fear of all and seeing your loved ones die in front of your own eyes is devastating. Nothing I say right now can lessen the pain of people, but I will just say that, “Waqt hai, guzar jaega”.

We all are helpless right now in relation to this, believe that God is carrying out the last rites of your loved ones and pray for the peace of their soul. I will request everyone to do their bit, stay at home, wear masks and if you cannot help financially or physically please pray for the people who are working day and night to help us fight this pandemic, our doctors, health line workers, nurses, cleaning force, medical companies, daily workers, local food stores and each and every person working for the betterment of the current scenario. I pray to god that everyone gets enormous strength to deal with this pandemic and may the departed souls attain peace. Om Shanti.
