Rajan Luthra - Permanent Success Is a Slow Process, You Just Need to Believe in Your Process (Indian YouTuber/Vlogger & Fashion Influencer From India)

Rajan Luthra

I was very confident in front of the camera, so one day back in 2018 I picked up my phone and started recording myself and I recorded my whole day journey and what I did, where I went, and all. Basically, vlogging means doing a documentary of your whole day journey in one video and I did it.

1. Tell us about your background and journey.

A middle-class boy who wants to achieve his dreams and goals.
hello everyone, My name is Rajanbir Singh Luthra I’m from Batala, Punjab My fans call me "Batale Wala" I have done (B.tech IT)which is completely different from my passion which I am following now,

From class 12th I was very confident in front of the camera I used to make funny vines at that time but I was not confident and mature enough to think of this as a job, so I preferred completing my studies first and then look into this. After I completed my studies I started looking for jobs but deep inside I knew I can not work from 9-5 for some company like a slave and then what will I get?

Salary only, but if I work for myself all these hours I can build my own empire. So I talked about this with my parents that I don't want to do any job I want to follow my passion and honesty my family always supported me, at first my mom was like “Beta Tu Pakka Sure hai Na Ki this Profession Can Bring Food on Your Table ‘ and I replied maa I don't know and not so sure about this but all I know is I have that fire inside me that I can do something different from the crowd. From that day my journey of Being a Youtuber/Vlogger and Influencer begins.

2. When did you first decide that you wanted to create content and how did you start?

As I told you I was very confident in front of the camera, so 1 day back in 2018 I picked up my phone and started recording myself and I recorded my whole day journey what I did, where I went, and all. Basically, vlogging means doing a documentary of your whole day journey in 1 video and I did it.

And I started editing that video and it was like 20-25 min long video and I uploaded it on my youtube channel “ RAJAN LUTHRA” and tbh I got very bad reviews, my own friends did not support me, they started making fun of me in public or on my behind.

But I did not stop and I got motivated that I have to do this and prove to them what I can do. So I searched for some famous Hollywood vloggers on youtube coz at that time vlogging is only famous outside of India and I continued making vlogs, alongside this as a typical Punjabi boy I wanted to go to Canada and settle down there so I did IELTS and scored 7.5 bands which were enough for me to go to Canada and I applied for Canada for my further studies my visa was almost about to come and all of the sudden my dad got very sick his 70% brain was dead and he lost his senses.

So I had to withdraw all the files and I did not go to Canada, that was the day when I thought of blogging and influencing as my full-time job from that day is did this as a job every day with all my passion. Till now I have made more than 300 vlogs on my youtube channel with a fan base of 10k+ subscribers and more than 4000 posts on my Instagram with a fan base of 300k+ followers it took me 7years to reach 300k+ followers on Instagram, back in 2019 when I posted my first Campaign on Instagram I had only 37k followers and then I did not look back and keep doing hard work to reach this milestone, "2019 I got awarded with Karmaveer Chakra award in Delhi IIT” Then last year on My birthday 26 may I launched my own official website

Till now I have worked with many big brands like Adidas, Fila, Samsung India, mama earth, Aldo Shoes, Mynta, and many more. This all happened with the support  of my family, my team (Payal Jhamta (manager), Prabh Singh, Amandeep Bamrah and Abhishek Behal and Arshdeep Singh (my photographer)) and most importantly my fans my supporters

3. Is vlogging and YouTube content creation a financially sustainable career?

To be honest, depending on a single income is not a good option according to me big YouTubers you can say youtube is a very good and financially sustainable platform career but I knew some big YouTuber as well who invest their money in other businesses also till now I have earned much from youtube but I never withdraw it.

Cause it's not that enough for me but from Instagram, I have earned very much, brought my iPhone 11 pro max with that income. And I suggest everyone does not depend on a single income as nothing is permanent so u should have other options in your hand as well.

4. Who is your favorite creator and why?

Casey Neistat is my favorite YouTuber and vlogger, he is the man from whom I learned vlogging he is the first vlogger of this industry I love him coz he is very unique in his work have never seen any vlogger till now with this much skill what Casey has. He is my inspiration and I am a fan of his work.

5. How and where do you find inspiration to churn out content?

When I see the relief and happiness in my parent's eyes I feel blessed, that is when I get motivated and inspired to do more work so that they can chill and live their life happily.

Besides this there are many content creators from whom I get inspired, if u ask me in fashion I will say I did not copy any creator out there I wear what I feel comfortable in, but I take inspiration from Diljit Dosanjh Veera in fashion.

6. What does your typical day look like?

This is kinda interesting. I usually sleep by 5-6 am in the morning cause I do editing all night and look for some content and wake up by 12-1 pm and then have my breakfast and start making some good content, to be honest, there is no fixed time for me to do shoots sometimes I shoot at 3 am and sometimes at 9pm it all depends on my mood and energy I am kinda moody person I believe all these late nights gonna pays off on day soon.

7. Which is your favorite book and why?

This is a very difficult and funny question. After my studies were completed I felt like not to touch book anymore as one says books are knowledge and to gain more knowledge I read some books in my free time like once in the mood while

1. Give and take by Adam Grant this book is all about the more knowledge you give the more you get
2. 2 states this is kinda romantic and I love being romantic sometimes.

8. What piece of advice would you like to give to future and aspiring creators?

To all the creators out there I just wanna say first. Believe in yourself than in others, no one can destroy you but your own mindset. Be positive be a hunger for success, and never ever compare your chapter 1 with someone's chapter 21.

Permanent success is a slow process and believes in your process "Jehre Holli Holli Karde Grow Ohi Long Time Chalde Bruh". Never give up. No one is going to support you in the beginning but as you reach the top everyone will say he/she is our friend we know him/her but at that time choose your friends wisely cause those are the ones who left you when you had nothing and now want u when you have everything. If I can do this anyone can do it. God bless you all rise and shine
and meet You At The Top.
