1. Tell us about your background and journey.

I’m Samarthya Gupta, 24 and I completed my schooling from KC public school, Jammu & Kashmir. After my school, I did B.Tech in Computer Science from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra , J&K.

I had passion for acting right from my childhood, had been a regular participant in dramas and cultural activities. During my engineering, I had been constantly and perennially trying to figure out what I really love and in the course of this endeavour, I realised that creative work, be that acting, dancing, or drama is my forte.


2. Did you ever think or dream of doing a tv show?

In my endeavour for being in public space, television shall not be an aversion. It has niche space in traditional households and hence being in quality tv will be in consonance to my outlook.


3. How can one approach their career and have the confidence and belief to make it on a tv show?

I have realised that in life it's very essential to first realize what one loves to do and second to get soaked in it.

Once one takes this conscious decision then exuding life and exuberance with full engagement is what automatically happens and in this journey scaling heights and achieving goals is the consequence.


4. If not this, what would you be doing?

This decision has been consciously taken. I have been living it and it resonates with my persona. Since this is triggered and shaped by destiny, I feel like putting my head and heart in it. This is a calling, passion.


5. For a compete outsider with no inroads, what advice would you like to give?

In life, in all your pursuits if you bind yourself by the divine traits of goodness, niceness, compassion and love you will not only achieve success in your endeavour but also come up as blooming and joyful human beings who give fragrance with their art and creative work like a flower.

While you make these traits sustain in your life, life unfolds and reciprocates in similar way.


6. What is your mantra of success?

Be completely devoted to the process and the results will happen the way you want.


7. Which is your favourite book and why?

One hundred years of solitude , by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. I like this Columbian writer because his fiction and fantasy enriched reality instead of escaping from it.
