Review
This is the
third book of the series the Percy Jackson and the Olympians – written by Rick
Riordan. To be honest I really enjoyed this book. The story was continued from
the ending of the Sea of Monsters. Percy and his friends had faced so many
difficulties and went on many adventures till now and I was expecting the same
here and Rick did an amazing job in giving us what we were expecting from the
sequel of this amazing series.
I can say
that I liked this book more than the first two. I found that the action,
thrill, and adventure were even more intense along with the storyline. Gods and
demigods both have optimum involvement in this book, unlike the previous ones
where the majority of the story revolves around demigods only.
I could not
find any cons for this book and the reason is that it just keeps getting better
and better succeeding chapters. We got to know some new characters as well and
some Gods make their first appearance in the series. The detailed description
of the Olympus was stunning and feels great to imagine the place where gods
reside.
If I say
this book also shown some emotional development in our characters then it won’t
be false or incorrect. We saw an old friend betraying which really gave a huge
impact on the story and also we saw some spark romantic moments between
Annabeth and Percy. These kinds of moments balanced the story along with
overflowing action and suspense.
The ending
of this book has so many emotions inbuilt, you will experience thrill, fear,
excitement, suspense all together and the literal ending will leave you in
sorrow. I’ll leave that on you readers so that you can feel those emotions
yourself while diving into this story. I don’t think I have to suggest you to
read this book if you are following this series but those who are unaware,
don’t wait just dive into this story right away.
