This movie that splashed the silver screens in 2013 creating an everlasting magic, is my all-time favourite. A story encompassing the life of four friends and their respective endeavors is a dream to watch. The crowning accomplishment being the serendipitous trip, where the four explore each other.

The movie revolves around the life of a rambunctious Bunny/Kabir Thaper accompanying his salacious best friend Avi and a sassy Aditi on a hiking trip to Manali with a last minute addition to the group Naina. Cut 2 the story takes an eight year long leap re-uniting the four musketeers with a sparkling equation.

Movie Review
Well there is little to no doubt that this ostentatious and ravishing Dharma product is a blend of all the Bollywood rom-coms conspicuously DDLJ and K3G, also Dharma products. The love tale mirrors the archetypal theme of opposite attracts; good girl-bad boy discovering and contradicting each other’s philosophies.
Thanks for the robust performances of the cast and rollicking songs because the story was hackneyed. But leave it to Bollywood for reprising old stuff, invigorating it even more.
The movie flaunts exquisite cinematography of varied locations and grand backdrops. Adding to it is the spot on comedy and impactful dialogues. A full on two hour entertainment is assured.
Director Ayan Mukherjee has left no stone unturned in glamourising Ranbir Kapoor as bunny, an extremely raunchy yet an aspirational guy, who is hell-bent on living the life of his dreams;travelling the world. Ranbir has exploited all the opportunities to make his character riveting and charming.
However, when he crosses paths with Naina, his love interest, he perceives a different aspect of life. Their chemistry turns out to be electrifying, fulfilling the audience’s expectations.
The film also focuses on the invincible bond of the four friends, where Bunny, Avi, Aditi are a closely knitted group while Naina added to the mix her sturdiness.

The attraction of the movie is Ranbir Kapoor, the plot runs from his perspective and all the other characters are dependent on him. His bold and sauve personality is a treat to watch, the spontaneous spunk of his character and his strong emoting skills are hard to ignore.
The boy has a rough patch with his father and is unaffectionate towards his step-mother. Due to this he isn’t a fan of a typical mundane life rather hopes to have speed and adventure. Accomplishing the life of his dreams he still isn’t at peace, for he misses his home.
His chemistry with Naina or Deepika Padukone is the USP of the movie. Ranbir’s romantic side is enjoyable , his looks delectable and his aura wonderful. He absolutely did justice to his dominating presence in the film.

1. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is truly a treat to watch. Such a masterpiece. The joy that runs through your mind when you enjoy golden days with your best friends.when you don't know how to interact with people, still someone comes to your life,changes the rhythm,makes you fall.

The Bottom Line
The story for me is a masterpiece for it brings out the perfect amalgamation of
various relationships, mainly Bunny and Naina. Main focus for many was Ranbir
and Deepika, reuniting after years yet managed to eventuate fireworks. The story
honestly wasn’t fresh and the constant representation of an ideal girl as sincere
and staid is flaky.
However, the impressive point being that Naina is independent professionally, personally and emotionally. Other characters weren’t unnoticeable as well, Aditya, Kalki, Tanvi Azmi, Madhuri Dixit, Farooq Shaikh were quite engaging. Overall, the movie is a package of entertainment,drama, friendship and love with an everlasting track.
