1. Tell us about your background and journey.
Hello, I am Rashmi, I am from the small and beautiful city of Banaras. Being known as a fashion illustrator is still a dream, I've been jumping from one interest to another and always felt art is something that needs to stay in me no matter how much I lose in this journey.
I have always shown my interest in sharing what I know. I believe Things take time! You will fail and fall! It will hurt you! This is what makes you different and genuine for your profession.
2. When and how did you decide to pursue illustration?
Fashion illustration particularly started along with my graduate degree in fashion design, I explored my art skills and found out that fashion illustration is something I like doing every single day.

4. What medium do you prefer to work with and why?
I keep on switching mediums but I am very comfortable with poster paints and water colors, if I have to paint quick I paint with poster paint.
5. How do you overcome creative block?
Honestly! I never had creative block till now a big reason is that I keep on working on various different projects which is far different from each other. The trick is to sketch or paint two or more artworks in a particular time span, if you switch the works, mediums it gives interest and makes your work fun.
6. How would you describe your muse?
I have many many artists whom I admire, photography inspires me beyond, as photography is very much related to painting and sketching it gives the idea of real color behavior and light.
7. What message would you give to aspiring fashion illustrators?
My experience has been really colorful, I started in late 2018 and gave enough time to myself to grow and learn every day. One small suggestion I would always point down that do not ask anybody how do they do it? what are they using? how to do any details? why am I not getting it? Key is! Explore by yourself it will take you to another level.
8. Which is your favorite book and why?
I have read Micheal Angelo's journey, my favorite book till now is "The little prince" as it tells us to keep moving, have hope and love in our hearts which can not be manipulated or erased ever. Keep creating!
