Learning is the key for anything you want to do in the best possible way, I took ideas from different fellow bloggers, internet, Pinterest I would say a good platform for photography ideas. To write good content reading is a must and then you should know your followers so according to them create your own content.
1. Tell us about your background and journey.
I was born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan. I am an M.com (Finance), degree holder, and a Banker by profession. I had been working in a reputed bank of Pakistan along with, did lecturer ship as well in a degree college before moving to Saudi Arabia.
After getting married I moved to Rabigh, Saudi Arabia. It’s a city 170 KM away from Jeddah. The change of moving from one country to another, being an independent girl to totally dependent on her husband was totally a different experience. The life of Rabigh is so slow and totally changes from the busiest life of Karachi.
But for time being I really enjoyed that pace of non-working, but as time passes, I again felt that I’m wasting my time and have to do something. In meanwhile, Allah blessed me with a little princess (daughter) and I got busy with her as being an ex-pat there is no house help so you have to do everything from house chores to look after kids by yourself and all depends totally on you. And for me, my family is my top priority. My hobby is cooking, connecting people, reading useful and good stuff and learn new skills, outing, discover new places.
2. What led you to start your blog and what is it about?
This is a very interesting question for me, as I told earlier I was a full time working lady and doing something was always been my dream but family responsibility is also my first priority, my husband works in rotations as he is an operation engineer so I cannot take any step that disturbed my private life.
Further, as I see my daughter is growing up and the initial burden of mommy thing is relived now than I felt that I can do something at least from home, so I took a step and started a blog in January 2020.
I have always been recognized as a good motivator, and life counselor in my family and friends circle so I have a lot many things to share through my writeups, later I add up things including food, makeup, fashion, traveling, parenting, motivation, in short, it became a Lifestyle Blog by my name @saharfaheemkhan.
This was my private account and I converted it to a blog account, but I never changed my name of the blog because what I believe that people should know and recognize me by my identity and my identity lies only in my name plus as it’s a lifestyle blog, so Sahar a person’s life is sharing via this blog. And I am happy that people liked it and I got recognized in a very short span of time Alhamdulillah (By the Grace of God).
3. Is it financially sustainable to be a digital creator these days?
Yes, this is like a career now, and in any career, you have been paid for the services you rendered. Brands and companies approach you to advertise their product some pay a good amount as well and sometimes it would like a sponsored including reels, IGTV, feed Post & stories, digital creation all depends on dedication and marketing of products in a unique way.
Though it is a misconception in a society that content creators/influencers doing all for their interest and as their hobby but no one can recognize and realize that how difficult is to work throughout with the camera, thinking about creating unique content, along with all the home chores. It's 24 hours duty to get updated and creating content.
Like other advertising agencies, influencers worked for companies and brands and promote their products, mostly paid in return but mostly did not they just asked for giving some discounts and some may send the product for free. What I think that they should know that free product is a sample to advertise them. For financial sustainability bloggers put too much effort, time, even cost (for purchasing props, etc) and dedication to create content.
4. How can someone become a successful content creator?
You must be up to date, dedicated, well known about your niche and followers that what they want to see and read by your blog. Learning new skills, should be innovated in ideas, read and watch fellow bloggers but never copy them create content in your own and unique way, follow the trends but again in your own way, not like a copycat.
Give some benefit to your followers, how? by giving them a fair review about the products, restaurants and saves their money, connect and create bonding with them by daily stories. Make sure you are aware of what you are sharing with them. Be you and do in your own and unique way that differentiates you from others.
5. How and where do you find inspiration to churn out content?
Learning is the key for anything you want to do in the best possible way, I took ideas from different fellow bloggers, internet, Pinterest I would say a good platform for photography ideas. To write good content reading is a must and then you should know your followers so according to them create your own content.
6. Who is your favorite creator and why?
I would name the only one here from where I got inspired and started my blog and she is my favorites too @asupertiredmom, she is a Riyadh-based blogger because she is also a lifestyle blogger and her content is so relatable. Later I got in touch with so many new bloggers and getting inspiration in many ways.
7. Which is your favorite book and why?
