Abhijit Sinha - I Quit My Corporate Job And Went To Study Acting From Barry John Acting Studio (Actor, India)

 I Started Doing Theatre With 'Ekjute' In Late 2013 And Soon In S’early 2014, I Started My Stint In The TV Industry As An Actor 

1. Tell us about your background and journey.

I was born and brought up in small town Patna, Bihar. I completed my graduation in Economics and then moved to Nagpur, Maharashtra for MBA. After completing my MBA I shifted to Mumbai and started my career in corporate sector.

I always wanted to be in creative field but life had other plans so I started with sales and marketing job. Then I worked for 11 years and realised call to full fill my passion of Acting.

Thereafter, I quit my corporate job and went to study acting from Barry John Acting Studio and workshop of Ekjute theatre group. Thats when I started doing theatre with Ekjute in late 2013. And soon in S’early 2014  I started my stint in TV industry as Actor.

My Bollywood debut happened with my debut film Adrishya (2018). And Junglee (2019). I founded my production house Euphoria Films in 2017. It has been making content for YouTube, music album and Short films for international film festivals.I have also been doing podcasts and lyrics writing recently.

2. Did you ever think or dream of being an actor?

Right from my school days and collage days I was always very active in dramatics.I used to participate in dramas at that level. But I always was sure of education and training of craft. So before following my passion I went to educate myself professionally of my craft.

I am a trained actor till today I do acting workshops.

I always wanted to be actor but due to my personal responsibilities of family I started with my corporate job and took acting as my profession late in life.

3. How can one approach their career and have the confidence and belief to become an actor?

Whatever you do in life have passion and confidence. This is a uncertain sector and loads of ups and down. So you have to be tough mentally and physically.

Job of an actor is not easy. It’s emotional, Physical and mental.

Above all you must get a formal training and keep yourself continue training for the craft.

4. If not this, what would you be doing?

I think for me it’s the reverse. I already did other odd jobs be it a trainer, working with corporate sector and being a corporate consultant. But I finally followed my passion of acting. So there is no other way if not actor then something else don’t work out for me.

5. For a complete outsider with inroads, what advice would you like to give?

Whether you are outsider or insider you must not judge yourself. Situation around you could be different. Your life priorities, your financial and personal condition could be different.

Judge your talent and potential. If you are still passionate get details of the segment. You can get all information on YouTube and google.

Talk to mentors if you find someone. Education is must for everyone in every sector. So one must educate yourself and keep learning.

Actor is never perfect he or she keeps evolving and learning through the life span.

6. Which is your favourite book and why?

“You can win “ by shiv Khera.

From my childhood it has been guiding angel of life.

7. What is your mantra of success?

Education, Dedication, Passion & perseverance.

Abhijit Sinha is an Indian origin Actor in Theatre, Television, Films, Short films, Web series, Corporate films . 

He is also a Writer,Director ,Producer,Voice over artist,Podcast,Lyricist and Poet.

He was born and brought up in Patna, Bihar. Later moved to Maharshtara for Higher education. After completing MBA, He joined Corporate sector and served for 11 years. He joined entertainment industry in late 2013.He got his formal training in acting from Barry John Acting School. Under Barry John. He started doing theatre under Nadira Babbar of Ekjute theatre group. Later he joined T.V industry. He is known for his Crime Shows Crime Patrol, Code Red, Savdhaan India,24 season 2 and many more popular T.v shows.

 Apart from acting stint in T.v medium, He has also acted in various other formats like Short films, web series, Corporate films, & Ads. He has acted in 4 bollywood films. In year 2017,Following his other passion of writing he became script writer with Script writer association. In same year he founded his production house Euphoria films. 

He turned Director and has till date directed 8 Short films. His 7 films has won numerous International film awards. Recently he has directed a web series also. He has a passion of poetry and writing apart from Acting,Script Writing directing and production,Podcast,Lyrics writing.
