Life is small, don’t make it complicated. Spread love and positivity and avoid negativity as much as you can. Straight away block the negative people not only on social media but from your life as well.
1. Tell us about your background and journey.
Well originally I’m from Lahore, Pakistan and by profession an Electronics Engineer. I was a good student, stage speaker, welfare secretary, and a vocalist in music society. I always like to stay active and busy with constructive things.
After my marriage back in 2016, I moved to Saudi Arabia as my husband is Saudi born and raised, also working and settled here. So another pleasant chapter of life began with this.
2. What led you to start your page on Instagram and what is it about?
Regarding my blogging career, the core reason was boredom and change of environment as in my Lahore life was very much social and fun but here as in I had no family, no circle so I wanted to communicate with more and more people to know about my new home Saudia, another aspect which inspired me to start my page was, due to my husband’s work routine we had to move from one city to another so in this manner I saw almost 15 cities of the Kingdom which I think is a huge number. So I wanted to show people the beauty of the kingdom through my eyes.
Well, my page @Mommy_Gram|KSA, is a mixture of everything, basically, I wanted to portray an image of a multitalented mom who can literally run the world. From giving birth to upbringing the kids, from house chores to work-life, from stylish lady to a cleaning freak homemaker.
Because to those people who think staying at home, moms don’t do anything, in reality, they do a 24/7 job, a demanding multitasking job without any credit and reward.
3. How would you distinguish the term blogger from an influencer?
Well blogging is inspiring people with your words and your writings, bloggers create written content to educate people about a certain thing/issue while influencing is to inspire people with your actions and doings… building an amazing reputation or showing your expertise in certain things so that people can learn from you, your actions influence them or your attributes are to be followed.
4. Is it financially sustainable to be an influencer today?
Well, I must say in any profession or anything which you love to do if you give your 100% then definitely your hard work pays you off. In influencing or digital content creation consistency is the key, if you want to get recognized or to be remembered by people then you need to stay active, focused and your work should be visible because these days have people have very short term memory if you are out of sight people will forget you. So it is sustainable until you are actively working and your work is unique.
5. What do you think influences consumer behavior?
Consumers these days are very intelligent and smart, they do complete research about the products on their end the only thing which can influence them is any social personality to whom they trust is recommending that particular thing. Not verbal recommendation only but using that product in their daily life and giving genuine reviews.
6. What is your idea of success or your mantra in life?
Well in my perspective successful life is a well-balanced peaceful life, if you have reached the top but you are alone, so it also won’t state you as a successful person.
So goal life is having every bit of life in a balanced way. I’m an extremely family-oriented person, so for me, I’ll consider myself successful if I’m working hard and generating a great income along with taking care of my family being connected heart to heart with them, and achieving life goals.
Mantra in life is to become an example for those ladies living in the kingdom and thinking that they have no working opportunities. I must say please create your own opportunity ladies, if you will sit back and wait for made to order perfect scenario for you to work in, then trust me you will waste your entire life sitting idle and doing nothing.
Also being a mom influencer I want to educate other moms that stop complaining that due to kids you don’t get time to work, make your kids your strength, not weakness they are a true blessing, and you are blessed.
7. How can someone become a successful social media influencer?
7: To become a successful social media influencer, please own yourself, present your original self to others because fake won't last long these days also every one of us is talented in our own way so stop copying others or stealing their content, stay humble no matter what, last but not the least thing is consistency is the key. So be your own motivation & follow your dreams.
8. Which is your favorite book and why?
I’m not into reading books but yes back in my university days, I read an amazing Urdu novel, Pir-e-Kamil which gives real-life moral lessons to all the ladies out there.
Life is small, don’t make it complicated. Spread love and positivity and avoid negativity as much as you can. Straight away block the negative people not only on social media but from your life as well.
