1. Tell us about your background and journey.

I am a first-generation American, born and raised in Maryland by a single Caribbean mom.

2. What led you to start your blog and what is it about?

I’ve always wanted to do entertainment as a career, but I thought more along the lines of singing, acting, and dancing, not exactly social media. I got started when I was homeschooled. I was bored, didn’t leave the house, and didn’t have many friends, so I downloaded the app musical.ly which is now TikTok and had some fun with it. One video got view here another there and it just kept going. Soon after my sister Paris and attended Vidcon for the first time and later started our collaborative ARIS.

3. Is it financially sustainable to be a digital creator these days?

If you take anything seriously you can make it a sustainable source of income, from making pot handles to designing clothes. With social media the demand is high. Everyone is on their phone nowadays, It’s one of the best ways to market any product, brand, or song.

4. How can someone become a successful content creator?

Consistency is key, don’t be afraid to put your content out there. While you aren’t posting someone else is. Surprisingly my most viral videos, I didn’t expect them to go as well as they did.

5. How and where do you find inspiration to churn out content?

I get a lot of inspiration from relatable situations In everyday life and I just have a funny little mind.

6. Who is your favorite creator and why?

Freshman year of high school I would binge Troye Sivan’s YouTube videos over and over. I can definitely say he was one of my inspirations to start social media.

7. Which is your favorite book and why?

Oh, the places you’ll go by Dr. Seuss is definitely one of my top favorites. Whenever I’m having a bad day I just have to read it. It really reminds you there are ups and downs in life but you’ll get through them no matter how bad you feel in the moment. Things pass with time regardless of the situation.
