Aryan Katoch - My First Song "Gehraiyaan" Has About 200k Views On Youtube And 250k+ Streams On Spotify (Singer, India)

 

 These days I'm working on my new album, Gonna release it very soon.

1. Tell us about your background and journey?

I'm a 21 yo singer/songwriter/film director from Kullu Himachal pradesh. I used to work like an assistant director and a part time model in mumbai.

Then in 2019 my mother got last stage cancer and I came back home. The journey hasn't been that easy. I was completely depressed when my mom wasn't ok.

Then I tried making people happy thru my music and also started making some motivational videos that can help people.

It turned out really good. I gained about 140k + followers on Instagram. My first song "Gehraiyaan" .

The song has about 200k views on Youtube and 250k+ streams on Spotify.

And after that I never stopped writing.

Recently I also released my 2nd song called "Khamiyaan"

These days I'm working on my album. Gonna release it very soon.

2. What has been your biggest learning from your job?

I really learnt to express myself better thru music and also it helps me enhancing my creativity and keep those creative juices flowing.

3. How and when did you realize your passion for creating music? 

I was a good singer since my childhood and I never used to write or even tried to.

In 2019 my mother got last stage cancer and I came back home.

When I saw mother getting out of the OT after a major surgery of 13hrs, she had stitches on her tummy, when I saw that I felt the same pain in my tummy as well and that was the moment when I wrote a line "Teri har khushi main meri khushi, Tere dard main hai mera dard bhi" and then created a song around it. And that was my first song "Gehraiyaan" .

And after that I never stopped writing.

4. Who is your favoutite creater and why?

My fav creator would be MC stan a Rapper from Pune. His taste of music really inspires me to do something different.

5. How and where do you find inspiration to churn out content?

Well basically every where, what I see what read or what I feel. I write almost about everything, basically anything relatable.

6. What does your typical day look like?

I wake up, take bath, freshen up and start shooting some content for my social media, cook some food while listening to music and then sleep for a while lol I love sleeping.

Wake up after an hour of sleep and start working on my music till the night. Sleep around 3-4 in the morning.

7. Which is your favourite book and why?

My favorite book will be harry potter. To be honest I only read either some romantic novels like, "The fault in our stars" or just read harry potter for the 1000th time. I'm a potter head.

8. What piece of advice would you like to give to future and aspiring creators?

Be positive, watch the Documentary film,"The secret" I bet you'll learn a lot from that film. And just keep hustling and just do what you're really passionate about. And the most important, take care of your health. That comes first.
