LGBTQ rights are questioned all around the globe. Though many countries have passed several laws for their upliftment still they are unable to socially integrate with the so-called superior society, who think that they are pure and closer to God, and those people who are sexually different are impure and hated by God.
This orthodox supremacy is very common in all religions specifically the countries where Christianity and Islam are in majority. This argument is proved when we see the list of the countries where LGBTQ is least recognized. In this list, all the topmost countries have Christianity and Islam as their major religion.
The situation of LGBTQ in England is so poor that they were not even allowed to donate blood if they have sex with the same gender, in between 12 months, because according to the tradition of the British church this community is not acceptable, in their perception, they are impure creatures.
Various Notable and Influential Member of LGBTQ Community
In past also the Church was so cruel towards them. There was a mathematician named Alan Turing who is regarded as the father of Artificial Intelligence because he created the first AI code to decode Germanys Enigma machine. Though he contributed a lot to British researches on mathematics and AI he was imprisoned just because he was gay.
A similar example was also seen in Germany, where the first astronomer of Germany named Kepler, introduced the concept that the earth is not rigid and it is continuously rotating. His argument was refused by the German church and he was imprisoned. The belief behind his imprisonment was that he was gay.
The people of the gay community were not allowed to donate blood, but if they want to donate blood then they need to abstain from the sex for at least twelve months to become eligible for donation but still, if the relatives of the patients come to know, that it is a blood of a sexually different personality then there are instances where it is seen that the relatives of the patients refused to accept that blood.
The Situation in the United Kingdom
In the United Kingdom, on this world blood donor day, new eligibility rules for blood donation came into force under which England and Scotland will no longer ask about the details of the donor about their sex life. Any individual who had no sex with the same sexual partner, for the last three months, will be eligible to donate blood.
Earlier this period was of twelve months. So, it means that now more personalities of the same sex are eligible to donate blood. These types of small-small incidences and efforts help society, in integrating these innocent individuals into mainstream society and provide all with equal and legal rights.
This is a big achievement for their social wellbeing, but simultaneously this will showcase the hard side of our society's perception, which drives them to hate these individuals. The respect and care they deserve are missing in society which forced them to use different hard routes to earn their living.
They are unable to get a decent position in any administrative field, but on the positive side, the culture is evolving with the mindset of socially integrated LGBTQ personalities. Now, the renaissances are going on, which is impacting the social thought process on a positive note and inscribing the values of helpful living.
New Zealand is one of the first countries to provide helpful benefits to this section of the society, western countries are a little orthodox towards this concept and it is good to know that now these countries are helping these sexually independent people contribute to the growth of a mature society.
It is clear that in near future, their acceptance rate will surely improve and they will evolve and develop at the same pace for different sects of the society. Their lifestyle in developing nations, like India, is poor but society evolving towards accepting them as a part of the same society.
Conclusion
After analysing various dimensions of the issue, we will get to know that the sect of LGBTQ is facing severe challenges in socially indulging with the mainline society, and it is positive to see that there are many countries where a movement is going on against the same. There are many supporters from the mainline society who are helping them in being an integrated part of the society.
In the United Kingdom, as a religiously orthodox country, it is good to see that they are also taking some helpful steps for their involvement, in blood donation campaigns, which helps them in integrating with the society and they will also enjoy the same rights in near future.
The current global approach on this issue is quite decent, to justify the steps taken by various nations towards building a perspective of help and creating a platform that invites LGBTQ community in various forums to endorse their issues and thoughts. Someday, all will enjoy the same rights and legalities.
