It started during the lockdown when my children encouraged me to start food blogging. I started the same just for my children’s sake but later on, after getting positive comments, I started enjoying it and here I am.

Though I am still growing, I feel good about the fact that the recipes posted by me are touching the lives of at least a few people.


Tell us about your background and journey.

I have loved cooking since my childhood days. Even when I was working, my focus on making new and innovative recipes was always there. However I never really planned to think of myself as a food blogger. It started during the lockdown when my children encouraged me to start food blogging. I started the same just for my children’s sake but later on, after getting positive comments, I started enjoying it and here I am.

Though I am still growing, I feel good about the fact that the recipes posted by me are touching the lives of at least a few people.


Which is your favourite cuisine and dish?

I can’t just term any of the cuisines as my favourite as according to me the favourite remains favourite only till you taste something new. The world of food is so vast that I can have the cuisines as my favourite on daily basis. Albeit as a person of origin from Mithila (Bihar), I like exploring various recipes of Fish.


Should food blogging be just a passion or can it become a regular career?

In my case, it is still a passion but I have no doubt whatsoever that it can become a career too if you have the focussed and objective approach about the same and nothing is better if your passion turns into your career too.


What makes you appreciate a particular dish or a restaurant and talk about it on your blog?

As far as dishes are concerned, the flavours are the most important factor but I appreciate innovative dishes more i.e. the dishes in which the chef has tried something new as doing this will always create a chance of discovering some new and unique taste. About the restaurants, my priorities are ambience, hygiene and uniqueness of dishes.


Is there a dish you particularly associate yourself with?

As told earlier too, if I have to associate myself with anyone dish, it would definitely be fish recipes which, I feel, have not only the unlimited scope of innovation but also is one of the healthiest food options.
