Nidhi Joshi - Initially I Had No Idea About Personal Branding and Now I Make Informative Videos on It (Content Creator From India)

Initially, I did not know that I could do so much with Insta and also I had no idea about the niche and personal branding, I didn't even know how to edit videos. I also found some problems with content scheduling or management but with time, I progressed and learned new things about content creation.

Now I make content mainly focused on Personal Development and tips on content creation. It is my endeavour that I can provide good value and can encourage my audience with my content so that they too can quit laziness and do something for themselves and their lives.

Tell us about your background and Journey.

I am an Anthropologist by profession. I always wanted to do something big in life like many of us have but due to not getting the right path, we lost direction and the same thing happens to me.

After completing my Post Graduation, I had a plan to go abroad to complete my further studies in 2020 but as the lockdown happened, The whole plan turned upside down. There was so much uncertainty, I was confused about my life And I didn't know what to do next.

Last year a friend of mine suggested to me why can't I make something interesting for Instagram by linking my studies or the topics I am curious about, I took this advice seriously and that's how my journey on instagram began. Now it's been 8 months of creating content. I got so much appreciation from my audience.

When did you decide that you wanted to create content and how did you go about it?

I already had this thing in my mind that I wanted to become a creator but I had never taken it seriously or my laziness never let me start it but last year when my friend encouraged me for this, I started thinking and working on it passionately.

How would you differentiate between the term blogger and influencer?

A blogger is someone who provides information and shares their experiences in written form whereas an influencer is someone who has a great impact on a large number of followers and produces content in images or videos format on the social media platform.

What advice would you like to give to newbies aspiring to become content creators?

Although I am still exploring here and what I have experienced so far is that please find your reason, what's the main cause, why you want this.

Secondly, just do it, don't find perfection while you are a beginner, mistakes are common and you will learn and know a lot of things with time and last and importantly never focus on likes and followers and just make, make and make valuable content, have patience eventually who will notice the growth in you and in your content.

Which is your favourite book and why?

My all-time favourite book is The Power of the subconscious mind by Dr Joseph Murphy, this book has so much positivity and Dr Murphy has explained perfectly how our subconscious mind works and he has also mentioned the real life cases of people.

There are a bunch of positive affirmations in this book and Dr Murphy considers the idea that our subconscious minds have a strong influence on all we do and experience. He claims that if we as individuals can believe in something and envision it clearly, we can overcome any mental barriers and attain our goals. I would say to everyone that you must read this book once in a lifetime.
