I cleared my DGCA Written papers for Indian CPL in 2013 and Dec 2014, I received my Commercial Pilot License from DGCA India, post completion of all the requirements.
In Jan 2016, I underwent AIRBUS A320 Self Sponsored Type Rating in Madrid. Post completion of training and Rating endorsement on my license, I appeared and got selected for my company, AIR INDIA LTD in January 2017 and since then my actual journey started.
Tell us about your background & journey?
To begin with, “Aviation” has always been my passion, right since my childhood I had realised it (I used to keep telling everyone including myself that I will become a pilot). Back in 2008, my parents were a bit hesitant during the early stage of entering into Aviation, considering the recession that had just impacted Indian Aviation. However, due to my persuasion and looking at my passion, they took a leap of faith in me and supported me in my journey.
2008 is the year when I began with the journey for my passion. In the year 2011, I finished my BSc. Aviation graduation along with the completion of Commercial Flight Training in Florida, USA. I cleared my DGCA Written papers for Indian CPL in 2013 and Dec 2014, I received my Commercial Pilot License from DGCA India, post completion of all the requirements.

Where did you do your training from and which institute would you recommend?
I completed my flight training from Florida, US. However, my flight training institute got closed a few years ago. I am aware of two flight schools, 1st in the US named Atlantis Aviation and 2nd in Madrid named Quality Fly Training Institute. You could contact me for more details on these institutes.
How Covid-19 has affected the airline industry and what changes do you feel in your profession?
How Covid-19 has affected the airline industry and what changes do you feel in your profession?
I hope and pray that everyone is safe and healthy in this COVID-19 pandemic. This pandemic has affected drastically every industry around the globe and Aviation is no different. Flights have reduced drastically anywhere between 25-50% operations when compared to pre covid level (This varies across different airlines with various fleets).
I feel it is going to be a new normal in the coming years to wear a mask/ face shield to protect ourselves and others from the virus. Along with frequent sanitisation, Vaccines have been introduced to major masses, hoping to control it or for better to end this Deadly Virus.
I hope I could impart my little bit of experience to you, as I am still learning more each day. And I pray for well being of everyone, and for normalcy to return in our life so that you could fly with me someday somewhere on this beautiful globe.
